"This briefcase/satchel has wonderful storage and extremely convenient design. My only draw back is the size. I wish the Battenkill was available one size down, rather large to carry a 13" MACBOOK PRO and iPad. I can assure you I will not be returning it and look forward to many years of use."

"I've had mine for over 5 years and it has held up well, although it is beginning to show some wear. I'm surprised that the bag hasn't been updated to include a sleeve to slip over the handle on the wheeled Battenkill luggage. I love my wheeled carryon, but using this bag with it is a little awkward given the lack of a sleeve to hold it against the handle when wheeling the case."

"Exceptional quality, great attention to detail, looks fabulous. I could not be more pleased with how functional and practical this briefcase is, not to mention the numerous compliments. "UPS mis-delivered this amazing briefcase and it didn't come as expected. Therefore a birthday was without a gift. Cheers to Orvis for sending out another - no charge! I was SO upset when UPS did nothing for me, but Orvis came through! The original finally did show and I sent back the other immediately. But still, Orvis - you seriously rock. Best customer service ever!"

"I have used a backpack as a briefcase for the past 10 years. I began to think about how I could improve my professional appearance and no longer look like every other business traveler. What better way than a unique bcase to match my carry on bag. This bag offers all the pouches & pockets needed for me to carry my business needs (files, iPad, phone, pens, etc.). The exterior fabric, zippers, latches and shoulder strap while heavy duty are comfortable and will stand up to anything I could put it through. Thanks Orvis, I don't think I'll need another briefcase anytime soon, if ever."

"Bought mine from a retail store about 4 years ago. Itws been my everyday bag, to andf rom work, on business tripts as well as personal ones. Carries a lot, including laptops and tablets and tons of paper. Love the keyholder and outside pocket (good for travel info and boarding passes). Showing some wear on the corners, with fabric gone in one place, but then I've been more than a little rough with it. I will eventually replace it with another."

"I bouht this briefcase 11 years ago in Chicago (mag mile). Normally I carry a notebook sometimes 2 notebooks and papers.
The briefcase is like new,the same aspect when I purchased it.

"The bag is wonderful, so this review is about Orvis service. I ordered the bag embossed with my father's initials (and have an email confirming it) so you can imagine my surprise when the bag arrived with no initials on it! Orvis confirmed their mistake and said to return the bag back to be embossed. They never apologized for the mistake, and i am STILL waiting on the bag (I ordered it on 12/26 and it is now 1/11). I am very disappointed and will not purchase from orvis again. The product is not worth the hassle."

"The photo looks good but the actual bag is great. Simple but elegant, too. Good for a laptop or a carryon. An all purpose bag. Tough and good looking. A handsome all purpose bag and perfect for a laptop although I'd recommend a sleeve for a little extra protection. Even with animals and fur, the goodlooks of this bag are easily maintained. And with the engraving of one's initials or name, this bag is easy to retrieve when traveling. Even if one doesn't get another piece of this line of Orvis luggage. it will fit in nicely with any luggage or stand alone as a weekend bag. It's even so well constructed that it can fucntion as an everyday "briefcase". If given as a gift, it will be well appreciated by guy or gal, student or professional. The zippers open up to reveal enough room for a portable office. This is one cool case."
