Faux Lamb's-Wool Coat
This short swing coat in fabulous faux lambswool has plenty of style, from its oversized turn-back cuffs to the big buttons up the front. You'll enjoy it all winter long. Fully lined, with locker loop for hanging and angled pockets. Women's wool coat in natural. Coat: 70% acrylic/30% polyester. Lining: 80% acrylic/20% polyester. Washable. Sizes: S, M, L, XL; about 28" long.

"Love: warm but lighter weight so I don't feel bogged down; somewhat wind proof; great style, washable.
Don't like: like other Orvis items, sizing can be off. I bought this coat a few years ago and wanted a new one. They were a full size off. (I have purchased two identical items in different colors and the sizing has been a size off - with the smaller tagged item actually being the larger one.) Quality control needs to be improved."

"I bought this coat for my wife, she had told me she would like a faux lambswool coat. I found this coat at Orvis and bought it for her. She absolutely loves this coat. She has commented several times to me on this coat, specifically on the way it wears and looks. She really likes the way you can wear it as a dress coat or simply with a pair of jeans. She mentioned everywhere she goes she gets compliments and on several occasions has been asked where she got it, to which she told them Orvis. Thanks Orvis for another great product!"

"This is definitely a "fun" coat - great with jeans and boots. Would have liked bigger pockets (gloves just barely fit in the pockets) but all in all it is a very nice, cuddly, well made coat."

"I returned this item. It did not look like lamb but it looked like a fleece jacket. Orvis had a faux lamb jacket a few years ago that was very good. I liked the styling of this one better but the fabric was not faux lamb but fleece like the jippered fleece jackets. Very disappointed!"

"I live in Minnesota so there are many winter days when this coat is not warm enough. However, when the temperatures are in the 20s to 40s, it's perfect. I love the fit and have gotten several compliments on it. I't just a very fun coat!"

"I loved this coat when I first saw it. It reminded me of a coat I had when I was much younger. I would normally avoid a winter coat that is this light colored, but this one is washable. The style is flattering and comfortable. I can easily wear a thick sweater under this coat if need be. And again, the color goes with everything."

"I was looking for a travel coat that was stylish, warm and not too bulky.
The cut of the coat allows for layering in colder temperatures. Definitely a plus! The neutral color makes it easy to accessorize for casual or more dressy occasions. Amazing what a colorful scarf or hat can do!
One concern I had was the light color and showing dirty areas. I sprayed the coat with Scotch guard, which, so far has helped.
I am pleased with the coat as it is flattering and fun to wear."

"This jacket is cozy and comfortable. Lightweight yet warm, it's like wearing a cloud. The silhouette has a retro feel, and the proportion works on my 5-foot frame. The cuffs turn up to accommodate shorter arms, too. There is enough room in the fit to layering on extremely cold days. To me, this jacket could be called the "comfort food" of outerwear, because there is something really satisfying about wearing it. I really like it."

"This jacket is very cuddly warm and chic at the same time. The fit is roomy, so a Medium is perfect for a size 10. Sleeves are cuffable, so great for those of us with long arms. It looks great with slacks and skirts. I am anxiously anticipatiing winter weather!"

"I was looking for a 50's type swing coat, and this one fits the bill!! It's comfortable, extremely warm, and with a pin or a scarf, this can look very dressy or just casual. Absolutely everyone commented on it the first time I wore it to work. Shipping was fast and well boxed. Fit was perfect."
