For protection against unpredictable weather the Sporting Ultimate 3 in 1 is the jacket of choice. Combining a two layer GORE-TEX® fabric with a zip-in fleece vest, the two can be worn together or separately. The men's sporting jacket is lightweight and designed with plenty of freedom of movement. It comes with large bellows pockets, fleece-lined handwarmer pockets, spandex lycra inner cuffs and a drawstring hem for foul weather protection. The vest is good for early-season shooting when worn over a shirt or sweater. When combined, the two garments make for perfect shooting attire in wet, cold and wintry conditions. A little coat for a lot of money,

"There's no denying that this is an expensive coat so you would expect it to be brimming with features, but it is not.

I took the opportunity to purchase one when a shop had a sale on, somewhat of an impulsive buy. I wish I hadn't. The jacket has few features that similar alternative brands have. The hood is very basic. no peak, no volume adjuster, so unless you have a huge head it will be of little use. I compared the jacket to my wife's (different manufacturer), hers has rear seat pads, poacher pocket in the rear and numerous other pockets inside and out. The inner fleece for the Barbour is nothing special. Her jacket has a proper internal removable coat that can be used on its own (similar to the Powell jacket). On the plus side the neoprene cuffs work really well and the goretex lining has kept all wind and rain at bay.

I'm afraid I can't recommend this jacket. Look at other brands for a better specified coat."
