Our plush 11-wale cotton corduroy with a hint of stretch for ease makes these soft skirts casual, comfortable, and just right. Button-front skirt has a plain-front waist with stretch insets in the back and belt loops. On-seam pockets. Unlined. Stretch corduroy skirt in vicuna, black, loden. Cotton/spandex. Washable. "Nice quality but WAY too big! I am 5'7" and 120 lbs. and have been so for years, yet have steadily gone from a size 8 to a 6 to a 4, and now am swimming in a size 4 with no option for a smaller size. Orvis is not alone in this undersizing, as many manufacturers are choosing to lose the business of normal-sized women (I am not a petite) in order to flatter others. Please make your sizes more accurate and appropriate for all."

"Lovely fabric, but in this style the skirt feels volumnious (size 6) and not as comfortable as I was hoping it would be. If I had been in the store and tried it on, I would not have chosen it. Still trying to decide if I will return it. Would love to love it, but can't say that I do... at least not yet."

"I've been looking at this skirt for months and was hoping it would go on sale. Finally, I just decided to get it because it was exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, it was way too big. I wear a 4 and this 4 seemed more like a 6 or even more.
I thought of taking it to a tailor, but decided not to spend any more money on it. The cordury was a little too thick for me, but still reallly nice. I chose the black and it was a real rich black. As far as recommending this to a friend, it's up to them. If they like it, buy it."

"The wide wale corduroy always looks better than fine wale. I bought this skirt in the taupe color and ordered a second one in black. They have become my fall season favorites.The extra bit of elastic in the waist always helps. I look for products that have it. I had both skirts shortened 6 inches and it worked perfectly with the buttons."

"The Loden colour is lovel soft green. The fabric is soft, a good quality and warm. The fit is good and a good length. Only problem is the hem it is not blind hemmed which I think cheapens the skirt and it looks a bit bulky on the button edge.
I bought the black colour way too and the straight stitched hem is not as noticeable on the black fabric."

"I ordered the small petite. It fit perfectly proportioned as to length and width. The waist band is not tight. I washed it and hung it up right out of the dryer and it needed no ironing. Beautiful."

"I like the skirt very much. It has good pockets, and hangs well. I have one problem, not with the skirt, but the description. The length was listed as 31" - it is closer to 33". As a short person, this additional 2" makes it longer than I really like."

"I have loved the former cord. skirts from Orvis which were pullovers, a rather full A line and had elasticized waists with no buttons or zippers. Thank goodness I purchased several of them several years ago as these new slimmer designs simply don't work for me, lovely as they may be. They are really difficult for full hipped women with smaller waists. I hope you will consider bringing back the full mid calf skirts; mine were purchased in camel and black and were sized S M L and XL. Pretty Please!"

"I ordered this skirt from one of your UK shops as they did not have my size. I ordered a 12 knowing your sizing is generous. Loved the skirt and colour, though would not have chosen it from the website (it is in fact a subtle shade of green). A size 10 would have been ample. I have taken off the waistband and reduced it by about 2" . When will you get the sizing right, it does put me off buying from you."

"The poduct is not fitting well, Is too stretchy, loose and the color is different than the one on the picture with more blue tones than earthy green. It is well tailored with clean lines and very soft but unfortunately, the material is not well suited for this style. A Jacket in this material will be perfect or tight A-line or short skirt. I had to send it back."

"Great material and color, but didn't like the fit at all. Narrow around the hips and legs. What ever happened to the old corduroy skirts (from several years back) with the solid elastic band around the waist and wide enough width skirt, where one can actually walk in?!"

"I wanted this skirt because I travel a lot. It's easy to dress up or down, doesn't show wrinkles and is very versatile with sweaters or jackets. The construction and fit are excellent - just what you expect from an Orvis product. My one reservation (and why I didn't give it a "5") is that I didn't like the buttons down the front. Too plain and utilitarian (and brown! Yuck!) They're being replaced with more stylish silver-black buttons."

"This skirt is made of a smooth, soft, plush corduroy. The style is updated but not too much, so it will be useful for years to come. The skirt is fuller than it looks in the pictures. Once again, Orvis has provided a tasteful and well-made piece of clothing."

"I am not about to send back this wonderful plush soft A line skirt in black. There is too much material on the sides, but I am used to having to alter every piece of clothing I buy. Petites don't work for me. Think I might have to have the loden color also."

"I bought 2 of these skirts (loden and black). The material is very soft and the colors are rich and deep with a very slight sheen. There is none of the usual stiffness or bulkiness of corduroy so they drape gracefully around your body. Pockets are on the side seam and are a good size. The fit is excellent. I was very happy with my purchase! Hope to see Orvis continue this product."
