"The net retractor is an excellent device for keeping hold of your scoop net.it is particularly useful when you have to quickly release it when landing a fish in a fast flowing river. you know the net isnt going to float away never to be seen again. Very pleased with the purchase. I also added a magnetic net holer to the bottom of my net and waders belt, this keeps the net exactly where i need it."

"Retractor has the strength to hold up my Wet steelhead net .The retractor also can be unlatched at the retractor if you need to hand the net to someone else . Would be nice if they could make it a little smaller in size."

"Most of the reviews said it was big, but I figured it couldn't be so big as to be an issue. I may have been wrong with that assumption.
The main piece of this measures 2 3/16" X 2 5/8", not including the locking switch on the side. When you add in the rings and locker, it comes in at a staggering 2 1/2" x 7". It's quite heavy, too, but I don't have a way to measure that.
On the flip side, it is very well built and should last for quite some time. The fact that it is plastic, though, means the Sun will degrade it after a while."

"Some reviews say this retractor is heavy but I do not agree. It is large, but it is meant to hold nets of all sizes so obviously it needs to be a bit bigger/heavier than a zinger.
I use this on the neck strap D-ring on my vertical chest pack and it is great! Very comfortable for long periods of hiking/fishing. Keeps my net at the perfect position on my back. Also locks when not in use.
I would highly recommend this for managing your net."

"For years I've used a magnetically attached net cord on the back of my wading vest. It was easy to deploy my net, but reattaching it to the magnet was a major hassle. This retractor makes it easy for me to both deploy and store my net. My only reason for not awarding 5 stars is the retractor is a bit heavy. That said, I recommend you purchase this product."

"finally! a net retractor that is up to its job. this zinger is strong and tight enough to keep my landing net neatly in place and out of the way when i don't need it, and has enough line to give me free reign over the net when there is a fish to land. it's a little pricey, but worth every penny!"

"I replaced my heavily used ORVIS magnetic net holder after 20 years of use. No more hassle with the magnets, just the amount of retractable line is on the short side of what I would like to have.
Well made in the USA but heavy.
Because of these two minor things I give 4 stars here although I will not give it away again."
