Nice - with reservations,
February 11, 2013
By: Tawny
"The fabric of this skirt is that generic gauzy Indian material, not a rich, sleek fabric as suggested by the photo. However, it is generously cut and drapes quite elegantly. It runs large, so a Small fits me well, although 10-12 is my normal skirt size. I agree with other reviewers in that I wish these clever reversible skirts were available in Petite lengths."

"I purchased my third reversible skirt and I love wearing them all,so comfortable and attractive. The only problem is that I need to shorten them considerably."

light as air,

"I love, love, love this skirt. Especially in this heat wave. It is not clingy, doesn't get sticky, and is cooler than my summer cotton skirts. it is so comfortable. If there is a light breeze, the skirt moves gracefully and gives a feminine touch. It is a bit long. I'm 5'7" with long legs (33" inseam in pants) and it falls to 3" above my ankles. I can wear it to work and out at night. It's absolutely terrific."

travels very well, classic patterns,

"Skirt is shorter than other reversibles that I have from Orvis, but still below knees which I require. I'm 5'5" and 180 lbs; the large fits comfortably. Navy pattern is classic on both sides; goes with everything. I paired with a red cashmere cardi for Easter to many compliments. It has already travelled to 3 continents with zero wrinkles and rarely needs cleaning due to skillful pattern. I would buy more similar in a 'winter' palette."

Lovely skirt,

"This is a lovely skirt. The paisley print is sophisticated and elegant. The skirt can be worn informally or in dressier situations. I find it a just bit dressier than other skirts of this type that Orvis sells. I wear mine to work. As for the length, I am 5' 6'' and it skims my ankles, which I don't mind. Thus for an average woman it would probably be longer than in the photo."

Way shorter than it was supposed to be,

"I just got my skirt and was excited because I have an Orvis pull-on reversible skirt in red that I love. But when I opened the package, I thought at first I had been sent the wrong item. The product description says that it's "about 34" long". Nope - my skirt is barely 30" in length. I think this is an unacceptable variation in length, and unfortunately I have to return this item. The pattern is pretty though."

"This skirt was really lovely - it hung beautifully and both sides of the reversable fabric were just the sort of cool sophisticated yet easy design that I like. However, it was far too long for me - an average English woman size - and to have altered it would have spoiled the balance and swing of the skirt. What a shame! Wish it could have been better proportioned as I don't wear long skirts - mid-calf would have been lovely."
