"I think this watch is good, but It is a little on the big side as other reviewers have said hence 4/5 stars. It's well made and has been tested in the dark to see how well it glows. The "12" glows blue and you can see all the hour, and hand movement markings very clearly. All in all well worth spending your hard earned money on such a robust watch."

"My father loved his watch. Orvis was very responsive in their communications on the style availability and the shipping process. My gift arrived before Christmas eve as promised. "Very nice watch but too large for my use. I live on a ranch and need a tough durable watch for ranching and outdoor sports. This watch fit the bill, but for me it was just too large & bulky."

"THis is a great watch. Well made, it looks like it could withstand anything and it keeps good time. The bezel is a nice option and the crystal seems pretty durable. I really liked this watch, but ended up sending it back because it is huge; just a little too big for my wrists. You could probably read this watch from space...
The NATO band is a nice touch, but it will take some wear before it's comfortable. It's a stiff nylon and very long. These NATO straps used to serve the purpose of the owner being able to wear the watch on the outside of a coat or wetsuit. On a naked wrist, the strap will seem to be way to big, but it folds easily. Also, if you thread the strap correctly, the watch will stay on your wrist even if you lose one of the rods.
Again, this is a nice watch, but it is giagantic. Would not recommend if you have a skinny wrist. Otherwise, it's a great piece for the price."

"I am a watch nut, owning many high end pieces. I wanted a nice, but inexpensive watch to fish and ranch in. This watch fit the bill. Easy to read, light yet it "feels" like it will hold up. The only issue is I thought the band was canvas / cloth and it is some sort of plasitc. Still, worth the $$$."

"I've worn a Luminox now for three years and it by far my 'Go-To' watch for everyday wear.
The simple style, the easy to read dial in 12 and 24 hour marking make it very reliable. The luminescence of the dial is its best feature. If this watch is on the floor you can see it even in pitch dark. At night it is perfect and simple to read. The rotating bezel allows you to keep track of time without error and with the military strap it is quietly understated, better than the original plastic straps, and more secure.
This is a watch I would never hesitate to recommend and I even bought one for my wife."
