"Should have taken the advice of another post. Never had slip-ons before and these are too large at 11 1/2 size which is normal for me. Exchanging them for size 11 which hope will not slip or ride off the heel with each step. Told none available in size 11 until 5/17/2013 in any store.
Gave 2 stars since think Orvis should mention the potential issue with size and none smaller available for more than a week."

"I returned these shoes because the heel is so low that they kept coming off. I hoped to use these as boat shoes because of the rubber sole and the "breathable mesh upper and lining." If it's breathable, I couldn't tell and the mesh is not my idea of mesh. So (insert Beulah the Buzzer noise here), I sent 'em back."

"my feet require orthotics to give me support...regular Merrells work fine , these low ones do not really---should not have ordered...had to try becuase they looked like they would cooler in the high humidity days going on now...have to wear socks to avoid rubs which are [painful...defeats the purpose.."

"This design is for anyone who wants a fine looking and feeling casual shoe with the ease of merely stepping into it. No need for socks, but it can be worn with or without. And the design goes with slacks or jeans and feels like those old tennis shoes you wore out but kept around because they felt so good. If they get muddy, hose them off, let them dry, and put them back on."

"Right out of the box they fit great! They have the look of a light tennis shoe, sans laces, and I even wear them to work with jeans on occasion. I've had no problems with the rubbing that some are complaining about although I usually wear socks with them. They're so comfortable I sometimes wear them around the house instead of my slippers especially if I need to pop outside for a bit."

"Size is good and comfortable. They are not hot to wear with socks. They keep there clean look. The left shoe on the inside of the arch has an uncomfortable bump when wore without socks but is not noticeable with socks. Best of all my adult daughter complemented me by saying "dad you always wear the neatest shoes."

"I like the shoes but....
On the left shoe, straight up from the instep on the inside where the expansion web is sewn in is an extremely irritating spot. First day of wearing doing yardwork it caused an immediate and painful blister to form. If I wear socks it seems OK, but barefoot is painful to simply walk. fwiw, the right shoe does not seem to have this anomaly. Possibly a one-shoe never to be repeated sewing problem. If I could get a new left shoe, this would be a 5 star."

"I suffer from severe lower back problems. Just got back from the hospital last week from second spinal fusion in two years. I can't bend down to tie shoes or even get most of them on so when I recieved the Merrrell Bypass' I was thrilled. They are not only comfortable but seem to be safer than some of the other foot products I've been forced to wear. Thanks for product.

"Approaching eighty and not sure I could adapt to a low back. Very easy learning curve to keep them on while walking. (If the kids can do it, why can't I?)
Not having a full back is a little like being barefoot."
