Not What You Pay For,

"I was really looking forward to this hat. I even had it shipped overnight so that I could wear it to a trip to NYC. Unfortunately, the product is a great disappointment. Firstly, when I opened the box, I discovered that it was unevenly blocked and slightly mis-shapen-- the brim was not evenly shaped. Secondly, the hat is flimsier than I thought it would be, and the straw is fraying is several places, causing it to appear a little too sloppy for my taste. After wearing it for only two days, an area on the crown, actually split-- and this is under stress-free, minimal wearing. The size (a medium) was perfect for me, a dip in the front-top of the hat, was evidently weak, and the straw itself spit. Lastly-- the fabric band above the brim, is a little too loose and again, appears sloppy. This is not what a $189.00 hat ($237.00 with expedited shipping) should be doing. The design is beautiful, but the construction is a mess. Maybe this one was a dud and I can exchange it for a better one. If it isn't, then please find a similar hat with a much higher level of quality."

"It's stylish but not faddish with an old school traditional vibe. Size does run slightly larger. Was a tighter fit when I first wore it but has loosened some which adds to its wear ability. So, buy your hat size. Lots of looks and compliments. Had a TSA official ask "where did you get that hat?" as he had me sequestered for an extended bag check in RDU. He made the comment he was looking for a hat like that. I was initially reluctant but told him, thinking I wouldn't run into him if he got one. Cool. (not the temperature)"

"HAT DID NOT MATCH IMPRESSION FROM PHOTO. SOFTER MATERIAL THAN IT APPEARS IN THE PHOTO. SIZE RUNS LARGE."
