This long denim Prairie Skirt is one of our customers' all-time favorite styles, with a slimming front yoke panel. Set-in waistband with elastic inserts at the sides, back zipper, on-seam pockets, and belt loops. Made of Orvis Vintage Denim, pre-washed for softness. Long denim Prairie Skirt in chambray, dark indigo, stone. Pure cotton. Washable. Imported.Regular sizes: 6-20; about 34" long. Petite sizes: 4-16; about 31" long.

"This skirt is a classic. When one wears out we buy another.(a few years elapse) The fit is slimming and the cloth subtle but substantial. it works dressed up for going out for lunch or dressed down for being at home. Brilliant skirt . The best ever."

"I am looking for a denim skirt or rather was looking. After trying five different styles I am giving up.All are looking great in the catalog or online.However ,although they are very well made and fabric quality is great ,are very bulky ,very wide and very unflattering for my average figure( 5' 7" size 12)So no denim for me as ,while you have the best styles they need to be trimmed widthwhile."

"Had to send first one back as elastic was shot in the waist. If you buy this skirt, note that the zipper and tab button belong in the back of the skirt not the front which is a bit unusual since tab buttons are usually in the front. I thought there was something wrong with the pockets because I had the skirt on backwards! Otherwise nice skirt"

"This is the second Vintage Denim Prairie Skirt that I have purchased. The first skirt was damaged from coals popping out of a campfire. The quality of the skirt is excellent, it fit my small frame beautifully, and the more I was washed it the more I liked it. This comfortable good looking skirt became my favorite "pair" of jeans and I wore it all the time. I'm very happy that I could buy another. Hope that you continue to keep this as a staple of your women's clothing line."

"i owned an orvis vintage denim prairie skirt some years ago and wore it out. last month i ordered this one and it's Quite Unlike the one I had before. It's narrower at the hem and thus less comfortable. The pockets are tiny, and the hem finish is quite awkward - turned under and sewn, although the fabric is too heavy for such a seam finish. It's a useable skirt but the construction shortcuts make it less than a star player."

"I bought this skirt 4 years ago and have worn it at least twice a week every week since. It's rather worn out now! Comfortable and pretty and durable. Trying to save money, I purchased a similar one from another vendor and it does not measure up. Quality, weight of fabric and workmanship were lacking. So I went back to Orvis and am glad to find the Skirt still here and still quality. The pockets seems to have shrunk, though. But perhaps they were thought too deep before (by others). I will buy another in future."

"Loved this skirt and its fit, however it was so long that I returned it. I have long legs and never have the problem of anything being too long. It looked long in the picture but since I wanted it to wear with boots I didn't mind long. Still, when it arrived, it was excessively long. Fit is true to size and comfortable. When the petite size is available, I will order it again."

"I loved this skirt but unfortunately it was not made for me. The cloth has a lot of body so it sort of stands out rather than falling softly, which didn't flatter my hip area. The fit was big for the size. It's a beautiful skirt so I was disappointed that it did not work for me. It's such a nice chambray color."

"I have purchased several of this prairie skirt style over the last 15 years. The originals skirts were 2 to 3 inches longer and a fuller style that had a nicer drape than the current version. The waistband stitching was also superior to the current version. The straighter version of the skirts I have just purchased have pockets that are only about half as deep as in the skirt I bought within the last couple of years. My impression is that corners are being cut in order to save money. I would rather see Orvis go back to putting the emphasis on quality and better style."

"This is still the best denim skirt around: I have been buying this skirt since 2004. However, I do notice that since 2010 the pockets have become very skimpy - a nuisance as now I can't rely on them to hold my keys, phone etc. while walking on the beach. Also, in terms of design, the front of the skirt now has a much shorter waist panel than it had - the 'vee' is not so deep. However, in spite of this, it is still the best skirt around and I will be buying more! (but I wish they would sort out the pockets)."
