"This is a very attractive shirt but I have had to return it because although I normally take a medium this was far too big. I have subsequently bought another Orvis shirt in a small and this fits perfectly. Orvis obviously size their shirts larger than some other makes."

"I bought my father, who is in the UK, a couple of twill shirts for Xmas from another mail order company. I was rather taken aback when he said not to buy him any more as the material was so thin. I then took a chance with Orvis and ordered a couple of your shirts. From my father upon receipt, quote unquote, "the difference is night and day. Comfortable, warm and well made." We'll done Orvis!"

"Collar is too high up so does not lie neatly when a pullover is being worn. Your large size shirts have always had a collar size of 17-17 1/2. The one on this order is considerably smaller and I cannot do it up so will never be able to wear the shirt with a tie - pity. Generally. in the last few years, you have raised your prices considerably to the extent that your products are not now value for money. I cannot afford your products any more - pity."

"I love these shirts (own 2 of them in different colors), they are so comfortable to wear on the week-end. The only small detail that prevents me from giving 5* is that the 2nd button from top should be one inch higher so that you can leave just the top one open without the collar opening too wide."

"While the overall quality of the shirt is good and the material always washes and irons well. The area that Orvis shirts are suffering in is the stitching. I have reviewed another shirt where the stitching on the back of the yolk came away. This shirt, the stitching around the pocket failed. Not what you'd expect from a shirt purporting to be of good quality. Sorry Orvis!"
