"I am sending this shirt back. I did not feel the shirt was going to last because the weave felt a bit thin. In addition, the sizing just seemed odd. I wear a large in almost all other garments and this one is a medium because I read the reviews indicating the sizing was off. Overall, it is good looking and I might be wrong about its durability, but the fit and the material made me more skeptical than I normally am with Orvis goods."

"In a perfect world I'd prefer an all wool shirt with a harder finish, but the price was right and with a cotton turtleneck , I think it will be ideal for January Grouse hunts. I like the traditional look of the red check. Glad I bought it."

"Lovely GREEN, not gray, herringbone mid-weight wool-blend shirt. Quite itchy, so I wear a long-sleeved Henley or other long-sleeved shirt under it. Runs a size large: I usually wear an XL, but this Large fits perfectly (and I'm NOT exactly shrinking...). Could the interior portion of this shirt have been 'peached' or otherwise softened? I don't know...ask Orvis! But again, a beautiful shirt overall."

"Great wool shirt for the chilly days around the house, at the office or a trip shopping. Love the elbow patches. 1 thing that kept me from rating a 5....the collar print is off, the checks don't line up with the rest of the shirt. They seem to roll over the top of the collar??? Doesn't look right. But the shirt overall is nice."

"I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. I was unaware that the shirt had patches on the sleeve. Nice touch. The fit runs a little large, which I absolutely love! It is thick, warm and very nice looking. My only issue is that it is itchy. I have to wear a long sleeve shirt underneath it.. This makes it even warmer. Fine for outdoors, warm indoors."
