"I have had some problems with my feet for a while and I thought I would give these Pikilinos a try.
I am so glad I did! They give strong support where it was needed, especially the sides where it stabilized my feet.They are not bargain priced but the quality comes through and then you'll know it is priced right!"

"I have not noticed Pikolinos in the printed catalogue for a while so I immediately took the opportunity to get another pair when I saw them. My old pair are still used as house shoes, having survived a lot of DIY over the past few years, and still look and fit great."

"The uppers and interior are well made and overal the shoe has a feel of quality and durability. However I have my doubts about the soles, is the material polyurethane; traction on wet surfaces is not good.
The disappointment with modern shoe construction like this, is they cannot be resoled, so a good upper will go to waste before its time.
I am mystified why these are called a, "Country Walking Shoe"? I don't think they are at all suitable for that purpose. They are however a good casual town shoe.
Sadly about 25% overpriced."

"Other reviewers noted the absence of arch support. I assumed this could be corrected by substituting new insoles that had arch support. However, these raise position of foot so that tongue of shoe now presses uncomfortably on top of foot. If you don't need arch support, these shoes are fine. Don't buy if you need arch support."

"I own 2 pairs of Pikolinos and think they are good shoes. They are simply not great and in my opinion, not worth the money. I do not think they compare to Mephisto or even Clarks for that matter. These shoes in particular have "zero" arch support. After wearing them for a week, I brought them to a cobbler who was very surprised at the insoles and proceeded to install new insoles with support. The sizing of this shoe is a little odd as well. I fit Euro size 44 on every shoe I own, but this 44 is a little large. The quality of the construction is good, but frankly, I have a pair of Clark's slip-on Wave shoes that are superior quality, much more comfortable and cost $50 less."

"Given the price, I thought these shoes would be a lot more comfortable. A good rule of thumb for any high quality shoe is that it should be comfortable from the moment you put it own. The leather is roughand the neck of the shoe digs into your skin, though the fit is ok. ."

"I like being able to order European sizes as they seem to give a more precise fit. These shoes, however have some stretch, so they can accommodate a little variation. The pair I bought fit quite comfortably, look very nice, and walk well."
