Most Effective fly for roosters,
December 20, 2011
By: pelone

"I found out last year how effective this fly is for hooking roosters while casting from the beach in Mexico. It has a great popping action on the surface and I have had fish attack it with relish. Nothing subtle about the take. I recommend this fly to my friends who visit Baja as a "must have" in their fly box."

"I used this awesome fly in the keys yesterday and it was really productive. You can keep this fly on top like a popper, or make it dart right under the surface. I couldn't keep the mackerel off this fly, they would explode on it. This fly was also very productive for barracuda, Bonita (caught a 12 pounder on the fly),and yellow jacks and snapper. You wil see this fly in the mouth of the big bonita in the photo i have attached( if you dont trust the review, check out the picture!) The silver color accurately resembles baitfish, especially pilchards. All in all this is a great fly, at the end of the day it was still good as new. Works really well in freshwater for bass too"

"I love this fly. It's easy to cast, makes a nice commotion on the water and the smallmouth seem to love it."

"This has been my go to fly for Barracuda and Jacks in Mexico. This fly has held up real well considering the species targeted. It casts well and has great action."
