River Guard Streamline™ Boot

A new and updated version of our exceptional entry-level fly fishing wading boot program. The affordable River Guard Streamline Boot is extremely lightweight, but offers great support, comfort, and ankle protection. Newly revised padded neoprene collar and webbing eyelets for a tight and secure fit. These lightweight studded wading boots have a reinforced toe box which is wrapped in a durable synthetic material that resists abrasion while protecting the boot from rocks and debris. New upper material is a durable, high-density nylon that will hold up to years of use while minimizing the potential of transporting invasive species. Sticky-rubber soles with permanent studs provide good traction in a variety of conditions. Imported. Men's whole sizes: 4-14.

Great Boots!,
December 30, 2012
By: thebigonethatstayed
from Mountains of North Carolina
"The boots were a purchase for my husband. He wears a size 13 and the 13s were true to size. They are a great fit and very comfortable. They fit very well over his waders. These are his first pair of boots that don't have felt bottoms. He hikes a ways in his boots to get to the river and thinks these feel more sturdy."

No Traction,
December 26, 2012
By: WVfreestone
from Morgantown, WV
"I make an Orvis purchase every month, so I do love their gear. I purchased a pair of these boots about three months ago. Needed an alternative to felt boots. They fit great and are made very well but traction is not good on the slippery streams of West Virginia and Maryland. I ended up purchasing the Easy on Brogue River Guard and have had no problem in any stream fished. I would say these boots would be better without the studs, for they do not provide traction."

looks good,

By: TheTugistheDrug

"I wont be able to get in the water with these until the spring. They were affordable so I took a leap of faith. Appear to be cost effective means to get on water where felt is unacceptable, dont appear to be the most durable - simple design, lightweight. These will be my first non-felt soles..."

"I could not get the boot over the wader
the tounge stitching is too close to the heel. It should be closer to the
toe.

"Not bad for the money. I bought mine at 25% off. Appear to be durable. Not real fond of the loops that hold the laces. Dificult to lace initially."

Waste of Money,
September 26, 2012
By: tammytroot
from Washington State
"Poorly made obviously to a price. These boots do not open fully so trying to get your wader neoprene foot into them on a dark river bank one early morning is at least a trial.
Little ankle support
My view pay a little more and get good ones"

Great value wading boot,
May 4, 2012
By: garyatwyffs
from West Yorkshire
"I have used many different makes of wading boots in the past and as a guide, I do put them through alot of use, usually out in them at least twice a week if not more. I have found the Orvis Guard Steamline boot really good, its lightweight yet offers support around the ankle and the rubber soles and studs are ideal for wading on slippery rocks/stones etc. A good value pair of wading boots at a very reasonable price."

Stability in fast streams,

By: BigCTexas

"Loved the boots! They were very stable and I was easily able to walk thru even the quickest current on the river we fished this time. It was a new area and did not know what to expect while in the water. Beats my older boots hands down! Thank you Orvis!"

Great bang for the buck,
October 28, 2011
By: super8mm

"I ordered these in my US shoe size of 11 but then had to return them and finally got size 13 to fit length and width of my wide foot in my Pack and Travel Sonic Waders. I took my waders and heavy socks with me and got a great fit. These are tall enough for great ankle support and are very comfortable."

Best Wading Boots I've Owned!,
September 23, 2011
By: VAFlyFisher60
"These Orvis Wading Boots are a combination of super quality and great price! I wear a size 11-1/2 shoe and ordered size 13 Boots. They are a perfect fit with room for the Waders and socks in colder weather, while providing firm support for my old ankles. I also like the traction on mossy rocks so that now I don't feel the need for a balance pole in deeper water. Just great!"

These boots are made for walking,
September 21, 2011
By: Bergomi
from Oslo, Norway
"Just bought these boots and had a first try out in a big river up north i Norway where I live. Used the boots for the whole weekend, from friday through sunday. i was really pleased with them. They are lightweight, and good fit. Easy to get inn and out off. Water drains rapidly. And best yet was that they didn't slip on big rocks. Only thing I can't say anything about is how long they will last, but they seem sturdy and look long lasting. That's why I don't give them the 5 star. Great boots Orvis."

"These are my first pair of Wading Boots, They are paired up with Silver Label III Waders. Great Combination, lightweight, good support, rubber soles offer excellent grip, dry fairly quickly. I am very pleased with them and Orvis as usual."
