This Back Saver Does Work!,

"After much research, I ordered this harness for my 63 lb Lab mix who is 15 yrs old and has arthritis in her spine. I initially ordered the medium, but had to switch for the large size. We have been using this harness for several months now. Once I learned how to get the harness on (loosen straps & slide front legs thru), it was easy. I've come to appreciate the thought that went into the design: The nice wide harness straps are very adjustable, the lift straps allow me to lift her where she needs it, and, she has worn it almost constantly. One reviewer advised quick clips on the straps. I agree; it would be perfect if the two front straps had quick connects. It has been washed a few times and is showing some wear. It is, by far, the best available. . This harness truly saved my back and has made my dog's life much easier. I strongly encourage Orvis to keep this product."

"Got this as an Xmas gift for my 100lb German Shepherd due to his hip dysplasia. This product did not fit him (even though he is about the size of the dog in the picture) and even when I did get it on him it was awkward to use and didn't really take any weight off his legs or assist in going up or coming down stairs. I returned this item for a refund which was easy and hassle-free."

Dog helper is no helper,

"This COULD be the best dog lift harness out there (and I have looked at many) but..... This harness has a huge design flaw that totally makes useless a harness that could be great. The overall design of the 3 straps around the body and the 2 clip on strap lifters are superb. The MAJOR FLAW is that the straps around the body are impossible to get on the dog, especially one with disabilities enough to need the harness in the first place, and would require a gymnast dog to get into; THIS COULD BE SO EASILY REMEDIED IF THE STRAPS GOING AROUND THE BODY HAD A QUICK CONNECT CLIP ON ONE SIDE THAT WOULD ALLOW THE STRAP TO BE PLACED AROUND, CLIPPED TO SECURE AND THEN ADJUSTED WITH THE SLIDE ADJUSTERS. Returning mine."
