"I agree with the others - this skirt is light and so cool. No one else mentioned this so perhaps it was just mine. The skirt came hemmed 3 inches making it 24" long. I saw the edge of the skirt had a 3/8 ' hem so I took out the 3" hem and ironed it and it is perfect. I never would have ordered a 24" skirt so am glad it said 27" at that time. Very comfortable if a bit loose at the waist."

"I ordered size 16 it's a bit loose around the waist but I didn't want it tight in the hips. I'm taking in some of the flip so it will suit me better. Since I haven't worn a shirt for a long time, I'm pleased with this purchase."

"I've been looking for casual & comfortable skirts for a couple of years - and this skirt is both. It's very comfortable and looks good, too. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I prefer skirts and pants that are not elastic waist."

"there are three features that are unique and exceptional about this blue-check seersucker skirt. the material itself is divine. the texture and feel of the material make it superior and exceptional. the colours in the check are excellent. Because there are at least two shades of blue, the look of the check is complex and rich. the nature of seersucker contributes to this rich and complex effect of the colours in the check making this a unique appealing product worth the cost and wait. the third desirable feature is the design of the skirt: sewn in panels that radiate out toward the bottom and create a swing, roomy, fit. this feature makes it possible to dress down or dress up the skirt as the focus in an outfit. my only criticism: x large is not roomy enough. the waist and length are fine, but there needs to be more material in the skirt.:)"

"When this arrived on a 95-degree, 95% humidity day, I pulled it out and wore it immediately. Cooler than shorts with its light cotton seersucker fabric, it is a casual length just below the knee - excellent for short-waisted people like me.
I have another Orvis cotton skirt that has been my summer go-to skirt for 10 years, and this may be its replacement. The only feature I miss is side pockets. That feature would make the skirt absolutely perfect."

"I needed clothing for the terribly hot weather. This skirt is so comfortable to wear and washable.
One warning. I ordered a medium and find it larger than I expected. It's such a light material that the fullness really doesn't matter. But, the small was too snug."

"I am always on the lookout for a lightweight skirt to get me through New Jersey's hot, humid summers. Your skirt fits the bill; it's comfortable, pretty and fits just right. You're one of the few places I've seen skirts at all, let alone skirts that I've liked. I have one complaint: Your shipping charge was $10.00 for a little light article. The person i dealt with on the phone explained you charge shipping by cost of item but I would think you could figure out a fairer way for small items."

"Bought this because I'm 5'2"and it is a shorter length than most Orvis skirts. The fabric is like searsucker, not see through and very comfortable for hot weather. I llike the flip skirt style and elastic waist. I wish it had an inseam pocket. I give it 4 stars because the price was not a good value for a very simple skirt."
