"I have a short inseam so I bought these as regular jeans and i love them. I have two pairs and get compliments on the cool buttons.

"I normally have to wear petite sizes but I liked the idea of being able to find a pair that, even though it was a misses size, it was the perfect length for long jeans. 28" inseam for petites is a bit short for me so I was able to get the length and quality that I always receive from Orvis."

"I love the look of these jeans, but they are long and when hemmed, I lost most of the slit on the ankle. The three buttons still look smart.
I haven't worn jeans in years because they are uncomfortable around the waist, but these pull up jeans fit nicely and don't look like pull ups when a shirt/sweater is worn on the outside. They do run a bit large in the waist. Price is high, but that's the sacrifice for comfortable jeans."

"These jeans are adorable, but I have no curves and sadly fits a different shape, either a misses or at least someone proportioned with about a 7-10 inch difference between waist and hips. lovely fabric"

"While I enjoy Orvis products, I was quite disappointed with these pants. I had been admiring them in previous catalogues from Orvis and decided to take the plunge. While they were just as cute as the catalogue descried, unfortuately they were much longer than ankle length. And with the side detail I was not able to take them up. Love the tops I have ordered, which have been many, but probably won't order any more pants."

"As always for Orvis products the quality was excellent BUT these pants are supposed to be ankle length but they are very very long and with the detailed hem they are impossible to hem and not lose the look of the pants. Had to send them back because of this. Sending back items from Canada is not cheap so that is a bit annoying."

"Many-,most Orvis lady's clothing is just not a good fit for a slim built lady, with rare exception. My memory s that these were listed as "XS" but that should be 4? I wear 2-4 and rarelyt pants and less rarely tops will work. But in addition to their geberal large tailoring these pants were list as "ankle' length, I'm 5'4 formerly 5'6, and I would have tripped over the bottoms. They can't be shortened because of the button placket and total fit was large,,length, things, waist."

"I usually buy petite sizes but decided to try this regular small because I wanted longer pants rather than cropped. Description said inseam was 29 inches which is a usual length for petite pants. These pants were large all over and hung down over my feet on the ground, definitely more than 29 inch inseam. Because of the styling they can't be hemmed so had to send them back."

"As others have said, these pants are not correctly sized; the inseam is way too long and because they are styled at the bottom, it would be very hard to hem them to a shorter length."

"The hems on the bottom of each leg are inadequately finished. I had to hand hem each one so that with washing and wearing there would not be a hem hanging below the bottom edge of the jeans. The elastic in the back waist would be better separate inside the hem so that it can be replaced if necessary."

"I should have paid attention to the other people who had reviewed these jeans. I, too, found them to be dragging the floor, not ankle pants at all. I am not short - 5'5" - and they were several inches too long. I returned them, as there is no way to alter them to make them the correct length."
