The most distinctive features on Doug Prince's original 1941 Prince nymph were the goose or turkey biots—a white pair for the wings and brown for the tail. With the addition of wire ribbing, a bit of color, and banded-rubber legs, the traditional Prince has been re-born into the 21st Century as Bubba's Electric Prince, an extremely buggy and effective prospecting nymph. Sizes 14, 16, 18.

Held up well,
January 9, 2015
"A good fly that held up well and caught fish. Nice range of colors. I think is was working well because no one else here had them, and the fish had not seen them before to be as wary. I like the way the fly looks in the water."

Brown on Electric Prince
"After an afternoon of trying to coax out some fish in a few nice pools, I tied on this fly and instantly had one on! I knew this fly looked fishy and I will be back for more!!"
"I just got back from Libby Montana's Kootenai River. It was prime hopper/dropper time. I had relied on copper johns as droppers on previous trips and did well. This time I tried the electric prince in sizes 16 and 18. Wow! Those beautiful cutthroats and rainbows just couldn't resist them, even when they were keyed in on ants. These are my new 'go to' patterns. I think this rubber legs/color combo pulls their trigger."

"This is a great fly, I'm already planning a bulk order of this fly due to the fact that it was the only fly producing fish for me in late July. I haven't had the chance to use it durning spring/early summer/fall, but it will be my go to for late summer when fish don't seem to be hitting anything. Good job Orvis!"
