Mike's Meal Ticket

Ohio-based fly tier Mike Schmidt is always at the vise working on something new to land fish. Mike's Meal Ticket, tested on Great Lakes-area steelhead, trout, and pike, has proven itself time and again on the water. With sufficient flash, rubber legs, not to mention a stinger hook, this fly has all the earmarks of a successful big-fish streamer. In olive, purple, tan. Size 2.

Quality Design,

"This fly is designed particularly well. The wool head around the lead eyes helps to maintain a great large profile when the fly is in the water. The articulation with the zonker strips created great action."

"a precision tie; perfect!
I have fished this rainbow looking pattern up in Alaska to much success. Of course, per AK law, I had to clip off the read hook at the bend."

"One of my favorite patterns to move large brown trout. Hammered a 24" brown trout on a olive Meal Ticket last month. I always move big fish with this pattern."

Great Smallmouth Fly,

By: FHammer

"The color and movement (plus the stinger hook) make this a great fly year round for smallmouth bass, and I'm sure for trout."
