"This will be quick. I left this on my shorts and forgot to take it off before my wife put it in the washing machine AND dryer. This is bananas. The magnifying glass came out, the glass has a bullethole-like piece missing from the center (so you can touch the hands), and the hinge pin that holds the flip out lens is halfway out.
After a full wash and dry cycle, the thing still works! Hands are ticking, and the LED is glowing like it was before.
I don't get it, but I'm guessing this thing will survive your toughest outdoor journeys."

"This watch is very useful hooked on to an outer garment as it is a nuisance to have to try and get to a wrist watch when you are fully togged up, and its raining! However, I cannot see that the watch is water proof and whilst I have not used it in the rain so far, I would have thought that such a time piece should have some water proofing. Hence have not giving it 5 stars."

"The luminosity feature is severely deficient. I have called your customer service unit twice,and been assured twice that Technical Services was aware, and would be returning with a response to my concern. Since I am still waiting, I cannot rate either the product or your responsiveness positively. The only reason I rated at two stars was that the product appears to keep the time."

"My Dad wanted a decent watch he could wear on his belt, rather than his wrist. As a keen Orvis fan, I knew he would appreciate this. It is rather heavy but feels solid and well built. Not sure how well the LED light will hold up but the magnifying glass watch face is pretty neat! Be aware, the orange is definitely orange, not copper - the picture is quite a good colour match"

"Do to the fact I do not where a wrist watch.I was looking for a watch to clip on to my pants loop while fishing or hiking, going to an outdoor event etc... This watch keeps time accurately and looks good. As far as the compass can't expect a high quality one on a watch but it will help in case you need to find true north."

"The watch itself is everything I read about. No problems with the compass ( as I read other people have encountered). The only problem that I have with the watch is that it does not light up at night. One more button for a backlight would have made this watch perfect. The green indiglo only lasts for an hour or so."
