Good Deal,
April 30, 2013
By: Nymphs
from Winston Salem, NC
"I put a lot of miles in trout and small mouth streams and rivers. if there are issues with my gear, they don't make another trip. These wading shoes hold up to some hard fishing.
I have no issues with Orvis brand items they hold up to what I put them through.

Decent, Basic boots,
February 25, 2013
By: cameroia

"for the price - low - I'm expecting a decent but not thrilling product. These boots are light, reasonably comfortable, and do an OK job.
I don't like the lacing system - it's a bit sticky to tie up or undo - I far prefer the brass eyelets on my other Orvis boots."

Great value,
December 29, 2012
By: 2LabMan
from Branch, Arkansas
"Good ankle support. Firm footing. Used four consecutive days on the White River and Norfolk tail waters. Lots of rocks at the shoals where we fish. No problems, just smiles when I got out of the water. Best fitting boots I have had. Still have a pair of Orvis boots that I've used for seven or eight years. they worked out well. These are much better."

Fine and Dandy,
December 28, 2012
By: CortezAngler
"I have used these boots for the harsh conditions of winter steelheading on the Great Lakes. They have performed as well as one could expect. The price was good, and the quality is up to orvis standards. I disliked the newer "moon-boot" style of wading boots and much preferred the slimmer profile of the river guard streamline boot. Too early to award the boot 5 stars, but it's off to a good start."

Great product,
December 28, 2012
By: Chris113087

"I took these boots on a three day trip and found that they were easy to get on and off, very comfortable for all day wear, and provided excellent grip on all surfaces. The laces allowed enough room to loosen them enough to slip them on and off with ease whether wet or dry. The arch support was good, my feet did not get sore or tired even after three 10 hr days on the river. I was very impressed with the traction provided even without studs. I had no problem walking along any surface along the river."

Typical wade boot stitching,
December 19, 2012
By: whizbang
from Canon City, Colorado
"Lots of exposed seam stitching. I didn't realize quite how exposed from the picture. Lots of wading experience tells me these seam stitches would be abraded through maybe the fastest of any boots I have had in years. I actually don't know any wade boots that don't have some exposed stitching below ankle level where it is most vulnerable. These boots, like others, just ignore the built in weakness. Shame. I put Aquaseal on the stitches and am hoping for the best."

Nice Value,
August 23, 2012
By: Bushwacker
from Estes Park, CO
"This is an extremely comfortable boot I have used to hike many miles to get to private fishing holes. I love them. I gave 4 star as the durability is more like 2/3 star as i get numerous slices from rocks while bushwacking terrain. But for the price and if you aren't bushwacking this is a great purchase."

Good for the money spent,
April 26, 2012
By: Leoparddog
from Georgia
"Initial impression wasn't great. Looking down into the boot there were lots of loose threads from where the bottoms were stitched to the upper - like where the stitching could come loose. I clipped those short and applied some flexible cement and let it dry.
Now the good part. I wore these to the Chattooga river for 3 days of fishing. One day I hiked 6+ miles in them up and down rough terrain in and out of the water. The second day was 7+ miles of the same, third day was about 4 miles. All of this through red clay, sand, rocks and steep mountainside and the river. They held up like a champ. Not a lot of ankle support but that's not a deal breaker.
Much tougher than they looked.

Average Boot,
April 18, 2012
By: OutTroutn

"These boots perform well on gravel and smaller stones, however they don't provide much ankle support when walking on larger rocks. The felt is a good quality felt and the stitching holding the felt to the sole
should last for years. The boots are comfortable for short trips.but all day fishing your feet become fatigued. Boots are true to shoe size

"The River Guard Streamline Boot with felt bottoms is extremely lightweight and yet very supportive. The boot is easy to get on which has become more important as I get older and the cost with shipping was less than $100. I recommend this boot to anyone."

"These are by far the most comfertable wading boots I have ever had. And for the price you cant go wrong. The felt sole provided grip in strong current and ankle support that kept me fishing all day. I would reccomend these boots to anyone from weekend warrior to pro guide. They are great!"

don't know yet,

"I wish Orvis would continue to sell the wet wader shoe. I can't find anything like it anywhere. I wanted to buy my brother this shoe, but Orvis only has size 7 left, so I went with the River Guard shoe instead. I don't know yet, but I can already tell it's not sneaker-like like the one I wanted. The wet wading shoes are perfect for river fishing in Montana in the summer, had I known they'd stop making them, I would have purchased 12 pairs!"

Good boots for the price,
June 6, 2011
By: Flyfish911

"Bought these boots for my young son for high gradient mountain streams in the Smokies. He reports that they are very comfortable for wet wading and provide very good traction for slippery mossy conditions. The padded collar is comfortable on the ankles. Seams and bumpers are well constructed. The grey felt versus white felt is a nice touch as well. Nicely constructed boot without being clunky and overbuilt. NIce to see a value boot that does not fall apart."

Most Comfortable,
June 1, 2011
By: Bigcat
"I have only used these about four or five times but I can say that they are the most comfortable wading shoe that I have worn. I love the zipper and as in some of the other reviews mine is not hard to zip up. I reallly like them a lot, especially at the sale price I bought them at."
