Thoroughly washed down and broken in, our jacket has the look, feel, and heft of your favorite vintage chore coat. Pure cotton poplin breathes remarkably well, while the high-lofting polyester insulation holds warmth against your body. Reinforced elbow patches; abrasion-resistant twill tape on the snap-front placket, cuffs, and pocket edges. Four outside pockets. Two interior pockets. Pure cotton body. Washable. Imported.Sizes: S(34-36), M(38-40), L(42-44), XL(46-48), XXL(50-52) ; about 31½" long in size large.

"This could have been a great coat, however, two of the snaps broke off when I washed it. After receiving the coat and prior to wearing it, I washed and dried it following the printed directions. In the process of washing it one snap broke off. When I took it out of the dryer I discovered that a second snap had broken off.
If this jacket had buttons I am sure I would have kept it. Even if a button came off I would have been able to sew it back on."

"Very short in body length. Fabric appeared to be too fragile to hold up. Very first snap button came off at unpacking. In short, I would suggest avoiding this product."

"I like the color, the weight, and the style. I've gotten lots of compliments. The one thing that could be improved is the coats are narrow in the shoulders. I know I'll rip out the shoulder seam eventually. I feel it every time I put it on."

"This jacket is great! It's good looking and has plenty of room to wear a heavier shirt for added warmth under it. (Haven't need that yet.). It already has that broken in feeling to it. I can tell this jacket will only get better the more I wear it over the years to come. Great fall Jacket!!"

I bought the large size and it fits wonderful!
Really feels broken in
Today: Mid September, 40*F overcast, very windy....jacket is very warm with a thin base layer.
Two inside pockets work well
Olive color is spot on"

"While quilted, this jacket doesn't have the warmth one associates with quilted garments normally. This makes it a good transitional jacket - something to throw on to chase the morning or evening chill in Fall or early Spring. The snaps make it easy on and off, though the lack of a placket means no protection from the wind down the front. Cut at the hips, it may not be long enough if you're doing chores outdoors that require a lot of bending, sacrifice utility for a flattering style. The mandarin collar is not stiff and can be folded down if you prefer. A nice jacket, not the answer to everything but looks great with jeans."

"First why 4 stars? The snap buttons (male connector) came off two places. Overall this is 5 Star. Great color and accent. Cut is perfect over heavy layers. The look is so nice I couldn't return it, but had buttons fixed myself (which Orvis offered to pay for!!!!). I didn't exchange it because for some reason "Not Available".
This is a really nice over-coat that is warm and handsome. The weight is heavy but too much. I absolutely will have this for years to come.
Orvis: Please contact manufacturer have them fix the snap issue, and return to stock. A RARE find!"

"I loved the look of the jacket in the catalog and on line. I ordered the large. It stated it would be appropriate for a 42 to 44. I'm a 43 long. The sleeves were perfect but the jacket was too snug. I returned it and ordered the xl. The sleeves were too long and the jacket too big.

"I was looking for a quilted jacket. One with a natural finish not a big puffy nylon one. This is the jacket, tastefully done, casual, the quality is apparent in the stitching, brass fittings, fit and finish, very nice."
