"I purchased this watch for my husband as we had a new puppy and I thought it would be a fun thing. He finds the watch more comfortable than his every day, more expensive watch and not it is his every day, regular watch. Plus, it is fun to show off and becomes a conversation piece. As always, Orvis only sells quality items!"

"Orvis was so accomodating when they shared they did not have our breed of dog, Vizsla for the watch. They immediately offered a wonderful solution send a picture of our dog to them and they would handle the rest and indeed they did. Turned out great, my husband got a big chuckle!"

"While the watch looks AMAZING, after just a few days, it no longer is keeping time. When I called Orvis they told me I needed to pay for shipping in order to repair it. What???? Throw more money at the problem? Not sure if it's worth another $10 for a $50 watch that still may not work. Unhappy with the solution, Orvis!"

"Unfortunately picture on the watch is not the breed of dog we requested . It was supposed to be a christmas gift but took a ong time to arrive so I have given it to a charity shop and purchased an alternative gift"

"I got this watch for my 11 year old son and he loves seeing his best friend on the face every time he looks at it. But, after2-3 weeks the watch loses 10-15 mintues a day. I don't know if it is a bad battery or is the watch itself. I hope Orvis can tell me if they have this trouble often."

"This was a gift for my wife for Mother's Day from my son. I ordered it and sent the picture. The first picture would not have worked and I was advised of that. So I took another submitted it and was told it was good the watch came well before we expected it, which was fantastic since we ordered it late. The picture is of one of our three rescues and my wife shows it to everyone. Once again fantastic and it does fit her."

"I was looking for a fun gift for my husband's birthday, and thought this might be it. The reviews were mixed, but I went ahead anyway. The watch looks kind of cheap and not "weighty" enough for a man's watch. So, I may just keep it for myself and get my husband an Orvis gift certificate, which he can use on clothes. Too bad - it's a great concept, but not very well executed."

"the watch was great. orvis could have done a better job describing the product. when ordering a picture was requested. as advertising a "breed" and looking at the catalog photo i thought the breed would be a reproduction not the exact photo and would have chosen a different pic. in addition for holiday delivery orders were to be placed by Dec 4. i placed the order 11/28 and received the product 1/6. a disappointment!! end product great however. pick your picture carefully!!"

"I ordered two watches since I have two different looking dogs but the same breed.
First, the watch's appearance did not match the quality that I expected from an Orvis product for that price. As a result, it is unlikely that either one will be worn.
Second, although I was permitted to submit a picture of both of my dogs for coloring purposes (since breed has a number of varieties unlike a black lab or golden retreiver), it was not intended for the pictures to be placed on the watch face which was actually done. The thought was nice but not the outcome.
May work better if one had a generic dog breed as pictured in the catalog. However there is still the issue that the watch's appearance does not match the price.
Unfortunately both watches will likely sit in a drawer which was alot of money to waste. Disappointing!"

"I was in tears. Undoughtedly one of the best gifts i received from my wife. To have a picture of my baby girl on my watch is incredible. I smile everytime i check my watch. The band is very soft and does not bind on your wrist. the case is solid and the face is very clear to read. I love it."

"Disappointed. The watch did not look like an "Orvis" product. The quality of the watch and the dog drawing looked like something from a kiosk at the mall. "Orvis" used to stand for highest quality, this makes me wonder. The price was not in line with what I received."
