Expertly shaped and blocked in Fall River, Massachusetts, at one of the last hat manufacturers left in America, this fine wool-felt hat offers timeless looks and fit. Moisture-wicking sweatband. Size reducer included to create a custom fit. Oil-tanned leather hatband. Wool felt hat in brown, gray. 2¾" brim tapers to 2½" on the sides. 4" crown. Pure wool felt. Brush clean. "This is a good looking and very comfortable hat. The interior band is silky smooth and gives a little so that the hat stays on snugly. The brown heather is unusual and a nice addition for my collection.
The price is great also.
The shipping box is heavy duty and is ideal to keep for storage during the hot season."

"I have always equated Orvis with top notch quality with all of there products. However, this heathered felt hat was a disappointment. It was constructed with a very light weight flimsy type felt. The brown color was very appealing as was the overall style but the hat did not live up to what I feel is Orvis's known quality. Unfortunately, this hat was sent back for a refund."

"This was just what I was looking for in a casual yet well styled hat for wearing around on cold and windy days in my rural small town of New England. I like the brim width, the relative softness of the hat and how it conforms to my head. "I was very disappointed in the Orvis hat: included with the hat were 4 foam pieces that were to be attached to the inside of the hat to adjust the fit. I have never purchased a hat from Orvis that needed size adjustments. This is unacceptable from a company of Orvis' reputation. The hat has been returned for a full credit."

"I saw this in one of the catalogs of men's gifts. I thought what a great looking hat and knew my brother in-law would love it. I order it on line with help from the customer service lady and it arrived in a couple of days. When it arrived it was packed to protect it and when opened it was one of the nicest hats I have seen. On Christmas when my brother in-law opened it I could tell he was extremely happy with it, my sister in-law said he has worn it every day since, so I would say it is a 5 star purchase. Once again, great job Orvis."

"My husband tried the hat on in the store and fell in love with it. It is very well made and Teflon coated. And it was Made in the USA. My husband is a retired policeman who has worn hats everyday for 26 years and he says this is the best have he has ever had. He has worn it everyday. Sizing is perfect."

"This hat has all the qualities we hoped. Adjustable fit, sturdy construction, quality fabric that repels light moisture. Wearing it everyday and getting lots of complimentary looks and nods. We got the grey version. The head measuring instructions were easy. My husband was right on the border between two sizes. Tried the largest size first, but even with the sizing features it was too loose. I called and they made a simple exchange over the phone. This second item even arrived before Christmas - unbelievably fast at no extra charge. It is a pleasure to buy from Orvis!"
