2¾ oz. 9', 4-piece, Tip-Flex Fly Rod for 6-wt. line. For the traveling angler, this is the rod of choice for throwing sinking lines, big streamers, bass poppers, and heavy nymph rigs in freshwater or big baitfish patterns in saltwater. Built with a saltwater reel seat and our proprietary tapers and actions developed on Helios by our rod designers, the 906-4 is incredibly light and powerful, in fact as light and powerful as any rod we sell, but at a price that is about half the cost of our premium rods. This new series is extraordinary in price to performance ratio and once you cast it you'll realize why. Made in USA.

"Purchased this rod as a backup bonefishing rod and primary bass/carp rod. But after landing a bonefish on it I might say it is now the primary bonefish rod. What a fight. You can really feel the fish on a 6 weight. Great action and performance for this versatile rod."
"I set this rod up with the Access IV reel and over-lined with 7 weight bass bug taper. It absolutely launches flies with little effort. I'm a sloppy fly caster but this rod seems to compensate perfectly for me. Besides the staff at Orvis Richmond once again were great and have kept me as a customer."

Review 4 for Access 6-weight 9' Fly Rod—Tip Flex
Great decision to go with this rod.,

"A very good, multipurpose rod, for several different types of species fresh water and saltwater. I've used the fast action rod to cast a heavy shooting head, line in the surf and and the San Diego Bay, to catch halibut, croakers, strong fighting bone fish, and the 6WT is still light weight enough for a good fight from the surf perch. I use the same rod while going after bass and crappie in the same lakes. I've fished Colorado, for trout with a floating line on it, and made some pretty nice cast; (I'm not even that great of a fly caster). It's perfect for the sea going cut throat and salmon in the pacific in Pacific Northwest. This rod covers a large range, of different types of fishing."
