"I bought this hat for myself a few months back. The first time I wore it we were out in 30 degree tempuratures for about three hours. Despite not having anything to cover my ears, they were never cold. I especially like the stylishness and, believe me, you'll be visible! Liked it so much I gave one to my Dad for Christmas. Very good material and construction at a reasonable price."

"Good hat for use when hiking - nice bright blaze color makes you stand out. Get it wet, and it stains a dark color where each drop hit. Also looses about half of its color over the course of a few months. Wish the color was a bit more stay-fast."

"I used this on a Kansas whitetail hunt this November and will use it again on a pheasant hunt over New Years. Great quality and finish. The adjustable headband works very well, I was able to snug it on in the wind and over a balaclava when it got cold. The material sheds dirt and debris and isn't scratchy. The wide brim is great for sun and rain. It packs well and comes back into shape without a problem. There are times when a ball cap or watch cap are useful but this is my new "go to" hat for other times when orange is required."

"I picked this up for a CO mule deer hunt. The construction and finish is exceptional. A very good looking hat. The felt seems to reshape easily after being crushed and continues to look great. It fits pretty good - my only knock on the hat is the general L/XL sizing. Although the adjustable cotton strap and velcro band is handy I would prefer to buy a hat that is the correct size to begin with. Overall a very nice hat that I would buy again."

"Bought this hat to replace my 10 year old brown felt Orvis fedora. Because I like the protection of the fedora in the field, I had been wearing Old Faithful with an orange kerchief for a hatband when upland hunting. Wore my new orange hat on a pheasant hunt with customers. Everyone wanted to know where I got it. Look great and feel great. Thanks, Orvis!"
