"Nice shoe overall. Rather clunky and big. Seems like extra wide even in normal width. Also makes an air swoosh noise when I walk, which I feel is silly. Otherwise comfy and good looking just bulky. One other thing, they sort of push my foot inward so my ankle turns slightly outward. (How your foot would face if you pushed your knees together.) For as much as these shoes were I've decided to return them. Orvis has a great return policy so don't be afraid to try things out. Waterproof is solid."

Misleading photo in your catalog,

"Picture showed dark brown shoes and tan shoes were shipped. I didn't want tan shoes so I returned. I hope you have refunded my credit card. There was nothing in the product description that said the shoe color was variable. For the price of the shoe I would expect to get what the picture showed. Very disappointing."

"I have worn my Mephisto Warrior shoes for about three weeks. Great shoes. These are one of the most comfortable, stable and weather-resistant shoes I have owned. Our office is business casual, so they fit in for me day to day, and for long walks. Remarkably comfortable. I would purchase Mephisto products again."

"I have come to rely on orvis brand items and trust that anything orvis sells is of the same high quality. this is no exception. I have never owned a pair of Mephisto shoes and now I am likely to start looking for them. Yes, they are not cheap, but honestly nothing this good a quality can be made cheaply. The shoe is strong, well supported and the materials are excellent quality throughout, not to mention the craftsmanship. They are above all else comfortable. The rest of the features are an added bonus on top of that. I have now ordered the boot as well...yes, I like them that much :)"

"strong, well made shoes by Mephisto. With the same Mephisto "feel" that others such as the Abel have, these are comfortable and do not appear to need any "break in" period.
Rich leather with a strong support system, these boots are terrific for all day walking, as well as rainy/snowy days when waterproofing is needed.
Very comfortable and nice looking. These are casual and go well with jeans, but also look nice enough for work clothing, chinos, etc.
Mephisto shoes are the kind that once you own one pair, you may never buy another brand again."

"Since purchasing my first pair of Mephisto Warriors, my daily hikes no longer even feel like walking. The sensation is more akin to rolling, or floating. Whether your day takes you through rugged wilderness or city streets, you will not find a more comfortable casual shoe."
