"One of the waist closure buttons came off on the third day I wore the shorts. This is the 3rd pair I have had and on this pair the snaps the adjust the waist do not hold firm. They release with a medium amount of pressure."

"Perfect! Almost too many pockets, in fact! Can't possibly get anything of any import into those two <tiny> side pockets; but heck -- there are many others and the shorts are dead comfortable and very lightweight and breezy! I love them!"

"The button on the elastic side strap broke the first time I wore it, good luck trying to find someone to fix that.
The sand color is IMO a very unattractive color with an odd yellow hue to it that I do not like and have never seen in any other clothing manufacturers sand color."

"These are terrific shorts! They are well-made, durable and designed very well. One caveat is that, while the waistband is adjustable, they do not adjust out to a larger size...they only adjust in to a smaller size."

"The shorts themselves are great. I ordered the stone color which is my favorite color for shorts and as an extra I ordered the khaki as well. When they arrived I ended up keeping the khaki and returned the stone ones. The color is off on the stone shorts, stone should be more white these had a heavy yellow hint to them. Usually it is me that is overly picky one but as soon as my wife saw them she said "no, those are too yellow you have to return those". Other than that they are great shorts, very comfortable. I have a hard time find good shorts because I don't like shorts that are too long, these hang just above the knee."

"I bought the Expedition shorts with an Orvis voucher when they were on sale.However,I found them to be poorly constructed,and of inferior material.Indeed,they tore so badly around the seat area that they were useless.Given that these shorts are an expensive item,and the fact that much is made of their" Expedition" lineage they did not perform very well at all.I would not recommend them to anyone."
