"The initial use indicates these slacks do shed wrinkles in brief wearings. They will be severely tested soon on a long day of flights to Europe. The green color is much darker than its catalog appearance. The waistband rolls "open" at the front revealing white lining material which is very unsightly next to the dark trouser."

"These pants fit great. I wasn't sure about the fabric, but is looks and feels good. Nice cut and drape. I hope I don't need the comfort waist, but most of my 36" waist slacks have been a little tight lately. The color is kind of a flat grey, which I also like."

"These are ideal for travel. I got them to have a pair of casual pants that are a little dressier than chinos, and, if necessary, be washable and dry quickly.
A small disappointment is the hems on the pant legs are slightly puckered. Order them with cuffs."

"I have purchased a couple pairs of these in the past, but they have declined significantly in value based on what I received last month:
1) Too tight in the thighs
2) Not the same material - they make my legs sweat when I sit in a chair (the only pants that have ever had this effect)
3) The way Orvis wads them up and tosses them in a baggie causes wrinkles and creases that, after three ironing attempts, cannot be removed.

"At this stage in my life, I admit I do need the expansion material that is built in the waistline of this pants.
Once you know how to adjust it, it is no problem at all, it fits perfectly!
It is definitely a dress-up pants. It goes good with choice of shirt or sportjacket. The material is of excellent quality. It has that looking good at all times feeling!
The olive color is my favorite because it goes with all the other colors imaginable. This pants should be an Orvis "keeper" for the ages."

"I had great hopes for these (bought 2 pair). However, while the fabric was very comfortable in the tropics, the tabs on the comfort waist were poorly sewn and would ride up above the belt. Sloppy workmanship, not up to Orvis standard. Hope that this is not a trend."

"Extremely comfortable on a long flight. Stood up very well to the rigors of travel. Alble to easily remove darker smudge marks caused by narrow doorways and seatbelts. light weight enough to wear in the warm Texas sun."

"I did not return these pants simply because I wore them once and do not return used merchandise. I first question the sizing, albiet the fact that the pants had a comfort stretch: a tight fit, when compared with other brands recently purchased of the same size and style (and with no personal weight gain). Also, the material in the pants do not appear to offer the potential of remaining usable over a time period, necessitating only occasional, and one-time wear, before cleaning. Quite disappointing."

"My husband usually doesn't want to spend much for slacks and griped when I told him I bought him these pants.....until he put them on. Fit perfectly, great color and the material is outstanding. He says they are extremely comfortable and the little expandable tabs make the fit that much better. He's a believer now!"
