"I was introduced to the Orvis slim fly box by a speaker at a recent TU meeting. The topic was French Nymph Fishing. I was amazed at how many flies one slim fly box could handle. I use both the pocket and vest versions of the slim fly box."

"This box is hands down the best nymph box ever, I have 6 and plan to get more. You can organize however you want. I have small mayflies, big mayflies, stones, worms, midges, caddis etc and can mix and match and could probably fit 15 boxes in my chest pack!"

"Very thin box perfect for carrying nymphs and midges. I carry one of these and a larger box for dries in my sling pack. It is a very simple design. I highly recommend it if you are interested in reducing the bulk you carry."

"Good for nymphs and stone flies but don't even think of using it for dries, especially Catskill-style as those gorgeous upright wings will be flattened. Like idea of slim but that's about it."

"Great fly box for your wading jacket pockets. The slim profile allows you to be more comfortable when choosing a wading jacket for all your storage vs a vest or chest pack. Recommended for nymphs, or small to medium dry flys. Cheers Orvis on the price tag"

"I love how slim this fly box is. I have two of them and they fit very well in my waders pocket, wading jacket or in my waist pack. I no longer wear a fly vest and find the slim boxes a must now. Excellent size and your able to carry what you need."

"The title says it all -- this is the best box for small flies (dries: 18 and smaller, nymphs: 12 and smaller). The slot design in the foam makes organizing and grabbing small flies very easy and the box takes up almost no room at all! It would be nice if Orvis made a waterproof slim box, but I don't mind that it isn't."
