"I've now got a case for all my reels. This is a great way to keep them protected and clean. Whether the reel is on the rod or in the bag, I have a case around it. Undoubtedly, It's saved a few of my reels."

"Simple durable design in a reel case. In moving away from a vest to a lanyard I found I do not need the extra reel with me in the back of the vest so it is fine in this new home. Well made."

"All of my reels, whether they be Orvis or not, are in these cases. They're well made, and have plenty of cushion to adsorb even higher falls onto rocks. I like the idea of the front clear pouch as well."

"I should have bought these covers when I bought each reel that I owen.
I drive up and down Henery's fork every day in a pickup or jeep. I have at least 2 rigs ready to go. I bought these covers and have notice my reels are not getting beaten up.

"I have used an earlier version of this product to protect my reels. Some of those reels are now over 10 years old and are still in very good condition. The product works.
I am happy that Orvis has decided to sell these again. I needed one for a new reel. Now I am "good". The new product has all the protective properties of the old one."

"I like the design of the reel case for two reasons: (1) It has a pocket to hold a card indicating the reel and line inside, and (2) It easily fits over the reel while attached to the rod. I do not like the design for two reasons: (1) I have three "medium" sized reel cases, but each of them is a different size--both in length and width! (2) The color is listed as "slate," but the cases are blue!"

"I had been looking for a way to carry my rigged reel to the water, and have it ready to go quickly. The reels on the rod were often getting tangled or banged around during the trip. The case completely wraps the reel in padded protection that opens and closes quickly-when I am ready to. I don't even have to take the reel off of the reel seat to wrap it securely for carry."

"Very happy with my Safe Passage Reel Cases. I bought more than one. In fact, I now make it a practice to purchase one with every new spool I purchase from the Orvis website. Especially for the large spools such as BLA V or VI. Fits great in my kit bag, and protects my spools from each other.
Only two things I regret :
The Forest Green color which was a trademark for Orvis Safe Passage.
The fact that at least one reel case has been lost in the mail, because, despite my mentioning it many times, Orvis has not learned to put a tracking number on each shipment sent. Orvis' great service means that I got a replacement item, but that would not be necessary if a tracking number had been provided.
I am still awaiting delivery of one other shipped earlier this month."
