When it comes to western fly-fishing, there are few places like Bozeman, Montana. Our regional fisheries include the Yellowstone, Madison, Gallatin, and Jefferson rivers as the “headliners.” As one starts to look closer, however, there are dozens of small streams and rivers with names that are unfamiliar to even the most seasoned western trout fisherman, each having their own uniqueness as a quality wild-trout fishery. This diversity of accessible, wild-trout waters is really what sets Bozeman apart and makes for a wonderful location to both learn the basics of fly fishing or improve your skills on the water.

Great school and instructors,
August 6, 2015
"My buddy and I attended the Orvis 2 day school in July 2015. The class was held at the TroutChaser lodge on the banks of the Gallitin and the instructors were Charlie and Steven from Fins and Feathers (fly shop a couple of miles down the road). 6 people attended the class. The instructors were super - very knowledgeable and patient. The info we recieved in two days would have probably taken us many weeks to read and figure out on our own. Location was superb - comfortable lounge/living room for classroom info, nice lawn and pond for casting practice, and a short walk to the river for fishing (most of us caught at least one fish). Can't recommend the class and Charlie & Steven highly enough!"
