"Really beautiful shirt. Hard to find this pattern in cotton instead of wool. However, sizing is weird to say the least. I am 5'8", 180, with a 43" chest. I normally wear a large, or XL in some fitted clothes only because of chest size. I ordered this in Large. It may fir someone with a 48" or 50" chest. I look like a child wearing my father's shirt. It is the dimensions of a normal XL. So, size down possibly, or call Orvis. BTW, I ordered 4 or 5 different pattern Orvis shirts and they all fit this over-size problem."

"This shirt is as good as it gets. Great fabric, great fit & finish and accurate sizing. I am 5'11" ~180 lbs and the large size fits perfectly in all aspects. As others have mentioned, I receive compliments on a regular basis. I originally purchased the white/black check and then bought a second one -- the blue/black. I will say the blue is a bit more vibrant than expected, but very nice. Expensive, but in case well worth it."
