"A rugged yet classy belt. The leather is thick but supple. The stitching enhances the look of the belt. It is wider then your average belt but it is meant to be that way.
The buckle is a nice heavy weight and carries the belt really well. It is built to last which is not all that common anymore.
It goes great with jeans and kahkis. I have no problem recommending this belt.
I have a 32" waist and ordered a 34". It fits great."

"I found this belt to be very well made of high quality materials. However, your advice to order one size up from pant size didn't work with me. Your 42 belt was too large for my 42 pants."

"Top quality materials, very well put together and good looking. Belt buckle is detachable and replaceable, should the need arise. I am a 31 inch waist and ordered a 32 inch belt, expecting it to be generous. However, it is perfect for me the way it is, so my advice is to aim for a slightly bigger size than you think you need. However, allow extra time for delivery from US - in my case it took about 10 days to reach the UK."

"Typical American Quality from years gone by. I enjoy wearing this belt with one of my many custom made belt buckles. The belt comes with a buckle that you can remove. It is made of substantial leather, thick and sturdy, however not stiff . It has a beautiful grain and not too fancy stitching. This belt wears extremely well with jeans. Highly recommended for use with western wear and your favorite western boots. My jeans are a size 38 in the waist and I ordered a size 40 belt. The fit was absolutely perfect. Comparable belts go for a lot more money."

"Ordered one size larger as suggested and the 38 fits my 36 waist in the middle hole as desired. A bit stiff at first but softens with wear. Color works well with almost anything, but looks especially good with jeans and boots. I do wish that the chrome buckkle was less shiny. All in all an excellent choice - highly recommended."

"This belt looks great with jeans. It may be too wide for chino and other belt loops and is really too heavy for those applications. But for jeans it is perfect. The advice to buy one size larger than waist worked well for me."

"I have a 32 waist, and as directed I ordered this belt one size larger, size 34; and wearing jeans and a shirt it fits me on the middle hole, which is perfect.
I wish the buckle weren't so big and shiny (though I'm not sure a duller buckle would work with this belt), and the black finish around the edge of the belt seems to easily flake off in places (although what's underneath seems also black so the flaking is not problem--maybe this is part of a normal breaking-in).
The width is as described: 1 1/2" wide, which fits through the loops my jeans.
All in all, belt is as described and after wearing it for a few weeks, I am happy with the purchase so far."

"Bought as a present which was well received. We sized up as recommended, so bought a 34 belt for someone who is slim and wears size 32 trousers. However, when fastened, this only left one hole unused in the belt and the tip of the belt only just tucked into the belt hoop. we are exchanging it for a size 36."

I bought a 46" as recommended. I think taking a size less than one's trouser size rather than 1 more would be better,ie a 42" rather than a 46" as the belt is quite generous."

"Comfy, pliable and handsome jeans belt. I have purchased three of these - one for myself, one for my son and one for my father-in-law. I would rate this higher if not for the fact that the hand stitching unravels and there is nothing that can be done about it."

"I bought this to replace one I got years ago. My only problem is that I didn't read the dimensions carefully, I just went for the looks, which don't disappoint. However, the width of the belt is a bit large fork the belt loops of most of my chinos and casual pants"

"My best friend had one these belts about 20 years ago, and I have wanted one ever since. It was given to him as a gift, and he didn't know were it had been bought. As soon as I saw it on the Orvis web site, I had to have it. It is exactly as shown, and goes really well with my moleskins. I have already had compliments while wearing it."
