Lambskin Munitions Jacket
The full-jacket version of our best-selling Lambskin Munitions Vest. Inspired by a style first worn and popularized by Royal Air Force ground crews. Like the vest, it is long in the body so it won't ride up when you reach, and it's made of rugged lambskin leather that is soft and supple with a smooth grain. This men's jacket is lined with our 100% soft cotton moleskin for all-day comfort. Soft corduroy collar lining provides extra warmth. Upper slash pockets, flapped lower cargo pockets. Snap-adjustable cuff for secure fit. Two interior pockets, one with zip closure. Two-way front zipper. Stowaway throat latch. Men's leather jacket in cognac. Genuine lambskin. Pure cotton lining. Professionally clean. Imported.Sizes: S(34-36), M(38-40), L(42-44), XL(46-48), XXL(50-52). About 29" long in size large.

"After much research I chose this jacket for its design and style, which I felt would suit my taste and lifestyle. It does and is! I appreciate the help given by Orvis regarding size as in most clothing I am a large. The precise details given led me to order a medium and it is a good fit. The quality of the leather and construction of the jacket are both excellent. I have been waring it now for 4 months and have no complaints."

"A really nice jacket, the chest sizing was correct and the materials and finish superb.
But......its a bit short and shows your butt.
But......its a bit short and shows your butt.
This jacket is a bit of a strange length, longer than a bomber and shorter than you might imagine, as a result it can look a bit like a lamp shade as it stands off the hips.
Its a very subjective view, I have returned it and will exchange for a longer style."

"Had been watching this coat for quiet some time ... waiting to see it on sale. The time came, the jacket arrived, but I was just not satisfied with it's cut and fit ... too big at the waist and tended to "hang" on me. It really is a beautiful coat, but unfortunately I felt the need to return it."

"I enjoy the supple finish of the leather. The fit is generous but good for use with sweaters.
My only complaint is the clumsy design of the stand-up collar. First step was to remove the collar fastening strap which is always in the way when not in use.
Agree with other reviewers that the lining materials could be higher quality."

"I agree with earlier reviewers. This is not a coat to be worn for work. The incredibly supple leather would not stand up to it. This is a dress leather coat. It can be worn in polite company without embarrassment. It is perfect for the mild winters here in AZ."

"The quality is fine but the sizing is difficult at best. I first ordered a large for my son as a gift. It fit me perfectly and I'm an xlarge. I sent it back for a medium. I will know after Christmas but I don't think this one will fit him either. The sheeves are really short."

"Excellent quality leather and construction. But, as said in other reviews, bottom flap pockets too big and bulky; spoil the lines of the jacket. Upper hand warmer pockets are way too high to be comfortable. (They should get rid of the lower pockets and move the hand warmer pockets down.) In order to get my size, the sleeves were way too long. It was a shame because I liked the leather, color, and construction so much I almost kept it anyway."

"If you are looking for a leather jacket look no further. Had this for a year now-a leather jacket is a treat-its got to be theright price and ooze quality-this does the trick. Two deep snap front pockets takes gloves and all you need. Two additional hand warmer pockets are warm and snug. Inside a great deep zip pocker gives ample room for long or small wallets and there is a useful snap pocket so deep a mobile phone disappears safely along with your tickets and other bits. I wear this through from October to April-its really warm and windproof and keeps you dry in the rain-good heavyweight zip keeps out the elements hidden by quality brass snap fasteners. All in all one of the best purchases I have made-bought XL which was a perfect fit for my usual 48inch chest jacket size-I really like Orvis sizing-an Xl is an Xl you dont have to resort to XXL just to get sleeve length ok but ill fitting body. Have bought all my jackets for summer winter spring from Orvis over the years with great success. This is the best!"

"I bought the munitions waistcoat first, the quality of leather was slightly better than the jacket. I really like the jacket, but the leather on the left sleeve is not quite such a high standard. Overall happy with the jacket, and wear it a lot."

"The coat is awesome - i purchased it as a gift for my husband and he loves it. I was NOT happy however, that a week after ordering it Orvis began giving $50 gift cards to customers buying leather. BAD FORM Orvis...nor did they respond to my email of dissatisfaction."
