"Coming from a Sage Launch this rod is a whole other animal. Smoother launch, more control over all throughout the rod, yet still sensitive enough to feel from small rainbows to massive tarpons.
I do a lot of saltwater fishing, but lately I've been doing a lot more trout fishing in the rivers and I can use this rod for either. I'll probably invest in a 5-6 wt next but it will always be a Helios."

"The Tackle mgr.@ THe Raleigh, NC store is the best I have ever been exposed to in fly shops ANYWHERE. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Because of him, when I purchase a Red Fish rod, it will be the Helios. There are some good rods out there as you know; Sage, RL Winston, etc. But how you market and treat your customers is different. I own Sage and Winstons not to mention my Orvis Flea and Penn's Creek. Your mgr. @ the Raleigh store helped me make up my mind to buy the Helios 8 wt and Battenkill reel. Thanks ORVIS! And Craig too!"
