Another super realistic stonefly pattern which is an excellent fly for the early season when trout are just beginning to feed aggressively after the winter. Crawl this fly along the bottom as if headed for the water's edge. One of the most realistic patterns out there. Color, Black. Fly pattern available in sizes: 8, 10, 12.

On the Battenkill,
August 15, 2011
By: Notretim
"I was fishing the Battenkill mid summer late evening and was getting skunked with everything from streamers to various nymph patterns, I tied one of these on and almost immediatly hooked up with a nice brown. I spent the rest of the evening catching instead of sulking."

Great Fly,

"Bought these flies because they are very close to the stone flies found in the Bushkill in the Pocono's. These flies catch trout. I have all three sizes 8, 10, and 12."
