"I had one of these fine turtlenecks, and decided to get additional colors. Both new items confirmed my original impression of a superb, comfortable fit, great looks, and warmth in a lightweight garment. Good for layering, or for slipping on when the weather is a bit warmer but still chilly and damp. Easy to clean, but read the instructions!"

"In general the fit was not too good for my 6'4" and to say that it is part cashmere, at 8% cashmere, that is a reach. I would not rate it as a quality item. Over the years I have purchased from Orvis, but this time was disappointed."

"Unlike a 100% cotton turtleneck, this Cotton/Silk/Cashmere version can't be thrown in a washing machine, nor would you want to! It has a smooth hand (finish) and perfect fit at the neck and cuffs. I would hate to see what a dryer does to it, so you hand wash it and lay it on a towel to dry. But it's great for under a sportscoat and light enough for a layered look under another sweater. It's exactly what I was looking for."

"I loved the all cotton -- they were durable and warm and just felt great.
The new Turtle neck cotton, silk and cashmere feels thinner but it looks great and has a better drape. I don't think its as warm but it is comfortable and I'm buying a second."

"I began replacing some older turtlenecks so I ordered 1. I liked it so much, I ordered 2 more. Looks great, excellent fit. It works well with a sweater vest or sport jacket or all by itself. Very versatile in my wardrobe."

"Orvis products usually run oversized but this one does not. It's an excellent xl fit through the chest but length is short. Much thinner than I anticipated so it's more of a shirt than a sweater. Neck isn't as rigid so rolls down more than folds down. I do like it with a blazer for a cold day business casual look. It's a very soft shirt."

"I love the accomadation and professionalism of Orvis. I also like the quality of your clothes. However I have a problem with the fit. I am a perfect medium with the men's wear specs for all the companies I buy from. Your medium fit is too big and your small as an alternative is too small. Today's fit standard has changed with new styles.

"Very comfortable and well made but I was surprised that it must be hand-washed or dry-cleaned. Most of the fabric is cotton but the silk and cashmere apparently make it delicate. Would be a perfect sweater if washing/cleaning was more convenient."
