Sumpin' Ugly

Dave Hise, North Carolina-based fly innovator, guide, and 2005 Orvis Fly Tier of the Year, designed a series of articulated streamers he called Sumpin' Ugly. While beautiful they're not, effective they most certainly are. Tied with spun marabou, you can swing them, strip them, or drift them, and fish will eat them. Trout, steelhead, and even smallmouth bass have fallen for these flies. In sculpin, leech. Size: 8. Length 2¾".
