Meatstick
Don't overthink it. Sometimes the most effective fly will also be one of the simplest, and the Meatstick is certainly both. An impressionistic baitfish pattern, it basically just imitates food, and works just as well for big trout as it does big redfish. Salt or fresh water, it doesn't matter. It's called the Meatstick for a reason. In white, black. Size: 2. Length 2½".

"I have used this fly in several types of water from slow spring creeks to fast freestone streams and finally had some substantial luck in a tail water stream. I strip/jig it across the stream. Everything was great till some big fish took it from me."
