"Way, way back when, the Dodge Brothers had an huge sign in their design shop. It said "Things left off do not cause trouble", an early version of K.I.S.S. This is an elegant, nice, clean and SIMPLE reel that works well and gives no problems (I do have two others, though of the "Made in England" persuasion). Highly recommended."

"I haven't had the pleasure of fighting a large fish with this yet, but the reel is a pleasure to use and hear on the water. The timeless click and pawl mechanism sounds butter-smooth, and not at all loud or obnoxious as some other brands of click and pawl reel. Its colors fit right in with my Superfine Touch."

"I picked this up for my Superfine Touch 663-4 full flex rod because I wanted the whole rig to be very traditional. I was about to pick up a CFO disc drag, but the click and pawl is about as traditional as you can get. I was also concerned with the weight of it. Since the Superfine is such a ridiculously lightweight rod, I was afraid the size III would be too heavy (I tried it with a CFO disc drag III and it was a bit butt-heavy), but this reel feels a touch lighter than the CFO I disc drag reel -- superlight! The coloring also matches perfectly with the rod. The Superfine rod and this reel are just plain sexy together."
