Best Coat Ever,
February 7, 2013
By: Wanderer59

"This is the nicest coat I have ever purchased. It cost me a fair amount but sometimes in life you have to spoil yourself. I wish the pockets had zippers on them though. Outside of that the coat is an Outstanding Garment. Glad it was made in The USA."

Very good leather coat,

"I really like my Denver Leather jacket. The leather is first rate, the zipper is bulletproof. The fit according to my wife is superb, and the 42 in is true to size. I would have liked it a tad darker brown. For 1800 dollars it should have more than one button closed inner pocket. Those of us that don't immediately flinch at the sticker price of this jacket will miss 2 more secure (zippered!) pockets for car keys, wallet, cell phone and pen / note pad."

"The quality and texture of this jacket was the highest quality. It was the softest of any leather jackets that I have ever seen. I do have several 0ther jackets, but this jacket is my top favorite. Orvis always has the best."

Excellent Jacket,
December 15, 2012
By: Haasome
from Massachusetts
"I have owned this jacket for 3 months now and like it very much. It fits perfectly and is very well made. It is a little lighter in weight than you might expect from the description and picture which shows the lining, but comfortable down to 30 degrees F without a sweater. The leather is exceptionally soft -- read not heavy and thick -- so I can find agreement with another reviewer who had some concern that the jacket might rip over the long hall. Because the leather is thin, the snaps under the wind flap front closure (covering the zipper) create very noticeable shiny lumps/marks on the front of the coat along the zipper line. The zipper and snaps work great. An excellent coat, but for the money it should be perfect. I'm pleased that I purchased this jacket and would recommend it, but would hope they will tweak the design."

Great Jacket,
December 14, 2012
By: TRJ0731
"I am very pleased with this jacket. My size 44 fit perfectly! The workmanship and leather quality are outstanding. I was looking for a slightly lighter jacket but it is still a very nice product. Like most leather jackets you need to wear it a bit to relax the fit. Out of the box the jacket is not as relaxed looking as the photo in the catalog."

"It is expensive but no more so than some of the other vendors selling similar high quality products. Great finish and great cut. It does run somewhat big so I chose to exchange mine for one size smaller."

rugged ..no,

"For the price of this jacket..you would expect a more substantial piece. This is more of a dress jacket. The fit is good but the leather is soft and will not stand up to any type of activity.I see the chances of the leather ripping as high.At this price..a better and thicker hide should have been chosen. As far as warmth is concerned, make sure that you have a sweater underneath. The lining is thin and no additional zip out lining is included. At $1800,this jacket is way overpriced."

Returned jacket,
April 19, 2012
By: Golfgti

"Described as a winter jacket, I was surprised therefore when told it had no weatherproofing. The fit and leather quality was excellent. The colour was not dark brown or as it appears in photo but too light for my taste. Otherwise I would have kept the jacket."

MADE in the U S A,
January 11, 2012
By: Bruce0293
from Mercer, PA
"My first review... I would like those taking the time to read this to slowly digest this next sentence... This is made by American labor right here in the U.S.A. providing work and taxes to support 'our' country!!! Please re-read the previous sentence!
Now that that is out of the way, this is an expensive jacket, and my most expensive single piece of clothing that I have purchased in my half century on the planet. I will however state that it is tasteful (not trendy), elegant and yet not over stated. It too is comfortable and fairly warm given light insulation. I am very pleased with the quality, the drape and overall fit and feel. I have received a compliment or two and likely will the more I wear it out. Without any reservation, I would indeed recommend this jacket to anyone seeking a quality jacket that looks good with jeans, or dressed for that night out.
sincerely..."

A Good Haircut,
December 30, 2011
By: FShadow
from Chicago, IL
"You know how the best haircuts are not supposed to look as though you've just had a haircut?
That's how this jacket looks and feels- Like you've been places and seen things in it, even though you've just purchased it.
The soft leather and generous fit feel -comfortable-, like a beloved pair of jeans or a favorite hat.
Warm pockets and a storm flapped zipper help keep the coldest wind at bay."

The only leather jacket you will need,
September 23, 2011
By: stubbinsman
from Rossendale, Lancs. UK
"This is a quality product with lovely soft leather that looks and feels good. The collar sits well, the lining is classy and there is a mobile pocket and large buttoned inner pocket. The sizing is excellent - I ordered my usual sport jacket chest size which fits nicely over a shirt and pullover. The length is to hips, so a longer coat may be wise for very wet weather."

Great jacket,

By: Randy123
"Jacket runs a little large, had to drop down a size to a MEDIUM. Leather as you expect is super soft and comfortable, easy to move in and not heavy."
