"These boots are not recommended if you plan to do any real hiking. I wore them up Mt. Washington this past weekend for the first time and at the end of the hike some of the rubber knobs from the bottom of the boot had fallen off. For this price a boot should be able to withstand more than ONE hike."

"I bought these boots to wear on ski trips. They have a nubby sole that is not too firm and provides excellent traction in the snow. The Gore-Tex lining does a great job of keeping your feet dry and warm. In normal temps your feet might get a bit hot, but for the cold they're perfect."

"I put these on today out of the box in the middle of a heatwave and was comfortable. Quality, form, fit and functionality are all good. However, what is up with that color? The color looks more brown on website whereas reality is OD Green. I wore that color for a couple of years for my Uncle Sam and this is the last color I would have chosen were it up to me. A great boot with a lousy color."

"I just got back from hiking in Arizona with my new boots and they were just great. Very comfortable, very stable and sturdy. I also like the way they look.
I have a wide foot and these boots fit great. I thought they might be hot because of all the leather and they are not at all. Your feet are reall well protected with the sturdy material and thick sole. I like having the high top to keep out dirt and stones."

"This has been a great all around shoe for me. I can wear it to work, school, hiking, or just walking around. The only problem I have with them is the toe box is a little too narrow for my foot. The boot runs mid width throughout to narrow at the toe. Also they do get hot, but this isn't anything different than any other Gore-Tex boot. Overall a great boot that stands up to tough conditions"
