Barbour Moleskin Liddesdale Jacket
Moleskin is a proven rugged, wind-resistant, yet comfortable outdoor material used for generations by sportsmen. This classic jacket sports a 100-gram soft polyester wadding and a smart Barbour tartan cotton lining. Studded front, corduroy collar with leather stand, studded back vents. Two front patch pockets trimmed in leather. Inner zipped pocket. In olive. Pure cotton moleskin. Washable. Imported.Sizes: M(38-40), L(42-44), XL(46-48), XXL(50-52); about 33" long in size large.

"Bought this jacket in fall of 2011 and now wear it all the time for work and on the weekend. Living in Minnesota this jacket is lightweight yet warm and the moleskin totally cuts the cold arctic wind. Looks great and many compliments. nice big pocket also.
I do agree on the sizing if you are at all border line I would order up one size. it is cut slimmer than most other coats."

"My first Barbour jacket. Hands down, the best everyday coat I have ever owned. Was nervous to order by phone because I was unsure of the fit. Called Orvis in Yonkers NY. Chris spent a half hour describing the details of the jacket and why the "Medium" would be perfect on my slight frame. I was so impressed with his knowledge, instead of ordering by phone, I went to the store 4.5 hours away. When I slipped on the jacket, it was like hugging a best friend after a long separation. Chris nailed the fit to a T. I hope Barbour never discontinues this style. It is timeless."

"The quality is very nice. My husband received this for Christmas. He is 6'1" with 44" waist. The XXL is a good fit. The sleeves are a bit long, so he can tuck his hands up inside for extra warmth. The coat is flattering on him."

"I have two other Barbour Liddesdale coats, but this is my first Barbour winter coat. Wore it during a snow storm; it does keep you warm and dry. It's also a very stylish coat and perfect for guys with larger frames who want to avoid bulky-looking winter coats. I ordered a XXL, and it fits perfectly with plenty of room for layering."

"After looking for over a month (not exaggerating) for the warmest, sleekest, light weight coat that has great style came to me after almost giving up by way of Orvis. The Barbour Moleskin Jacket has been an absolute wonder. It has fit all the criteria i was looking for and most importantly the jacket is as warm as a jacket this light weight could be. "After owning a Barber jacket for several years I have become a big fan of their outerwear. I had decided to purchase a Moleskin Liddesdale Jacket and ordered from the Orvis WEB site. Apparently the jacket was not in stock at the warehouse, but they shipped one from a retail store which arrived in just a few days. So, way to go Orvis on the delivery I would have probably waited a week or so for a backorder, but glad I did not have to. The jacket is wonderfully made, comfortable and surprisingly warm considering the lightweight.
However, I would caution that the jacket is cut a little snugger than my other jackets. I know Barbour has some different “Collections” which apparently are cut differently. Maybe it is me, but the Orvis site did not seem as clear on all of this as I might have wished. However, the jacket is still perfectly fine just a different style than my other jackets. I suppose if you were borderline on size you might want to order one size up."

"Had to return this as a XXL was at best a true XL. Order one size up and you should be fine. Barbour seems inconsistent in their sizing, as a size 48 Borders waxed jacket fits just fine."

"Just received my Barbour Moleskin Liddesdale jacket. The moleskin fabric is soft, the cut is perfect and there is just enough insulation to keep off the late Fall New England chill. I have owned several jackets from Barbour and have NEVER been disappointed in the quality and durability - I am happy to add this one to the collection."

"very top quality material - only issues I have are with the useless placement of the inside pocket (way too low and to the outside), XXL was a bit skinny for a "big boned" guy like myself, and would have appreciated some color options. But it's much warmer than you'd expect based on its weight. I'd suggest trying it on first, but otherwise, a great jacket."

"i agree that the sizing is strange, xl is like m/l.it came to my wrist bone and im a normal 34/35 length. just started ordering stuff and im returning half of it.im a 46 in chest and i got a xxl in this coat.what would a true man of 50/52 chest do.and there wasnt enough room to wear a sweater under the xl either.the neck button is snug to. makes me think what kind of men are used for sizing?"

"I have long been a devoted Barbour customer due to the traditional styling and impeccable quality of their clothing. This jacket does not disappoint. I would have easily paid much more than Orvis was offering it for.
My only complaint (and the reason it received 4 stars) is Barbour's maddeningly inconsistent sizing. This jacket, ordered in a large, barely fit my size 4 wife. Re-ordered in x-large, however, it fit my size 46 body just fine.
Honestly, great jacket sold by a wonder company. But be prepared that you have to adjust for sizing."
