"I just picked up new 13 foot 7-weight Helios Spey rod for an October Steelhead trip to the Rogue. I have never used a two-handed rod before but this is incredibly easy to cast. With a little practice I am easily shooting 80' casts with my Skagit head. This rod is surprisingly lightweight. I predict it will be easy to cast all day. I even took a lesson from a fly shop owner who deals another top rod brand and he was very impressed with the performance of the Helios. If you are interested in Spey, give it a try. You will love it! Especially if you have the Helios."
