A big leggy ant with nice thorax profile and a white and flash indicator tied in to make it easy to see. Terrestrial fly patterns are great go to flies when nothing else is coming off and the fish are opportunistic. Even better with a little wind off the banks. Fish this close to the banks. It's easy to see and the take will be unmistakable. Terrestrial fly pattern in black.Sizes: 6,8.

fooled the biggest brown yet,
September 12, 2014
"When the guide went to tie this one on, on an atypically dreary August day in WY, I was skeptical. We knew there were some really big fish in that stretch of the Green, but the day before we got only a few middling fish, all on nymphs. This bad boy fooled my biggest Brown ever, which measured 24", another that was almost 22" and a 19" cutthroat. The two of us probably touched (or our flies did, anyway) 60+ fish that day, almost all on this big goofy looking pattern.
Bottom line, listen to a guy who has hit that stretch of water 100+ times, and don't get dogmatic about what is going to cause "what looked liked the tip of someone's boot" to poke up out of the water and give you a day to remember for the rest of your life."
"I admire the people that can put this fly together. Very carefully constructed and solid."
