"SHIRT HAS A FUZZY INSTEAD OF A HARD SMOOTH FINISH AS I EXPECTED. IT IS LIKE A THIN FLANNEL. THE COLLAR AND SHOULDER YOKE ARE REINFORCED WITH ANOTHER FABRIC IN AN ATTEMPT TO GIVE BODY TO THOSE AREAS. AFTER AN HOUR IT LOOKS SLEPT IN."

What is with the placement of the pocket?,

"This shirt shipped a bit brighter than I thought the catalog depicted it but that was OK. When I tried it on I laughed out loud. Orvis for some reason decided to place the pocket half way down the shirt. It just simply looks ridiculous. Bummer. I am not a take it back sort of person and I do not think I am ever going to wear the shirt. Best to buy in the store and try everything on."

"My guess is that there is a quiet revolution going on at Orvis, or call it “raising of the bar”. In the past month I have ordered (3) shirts (the Spencer Houndstooth Pure Cotton Shirt) being one of them. With each order, I have noticed quality material, fine workmanship and product specs, like sizing, sleeve length and detail on the money. I guess what I am trying to say is that Orvis is not only good, they are getting better and obvious they have raised the bar on quality. You will love the shirt, the fabric is soft, size and color as stated."

"This shirt is not only great looking, it's soft, warm and wears well, too. The button down collar looks good with a sweater and the plaid goes well with any number of colors. My husband has several of this type of shirt and loves how they feel next to his skin."

"This is well worth the money. In fact, I don't want to take it off. It is designed for colder days but is prefect for the cool to cold weather upland hunts. Formal enough for casual days at work but casual enough for after hunt/ski ware at ones favorite lodge. Simply classic, elegant, and reserved style makes this my new favorite shirt."

"I found this shirt to be an excellent buy - looks great, nice material and fits just right (I am 6' 2", 185 lbs. and large was perfect). I normally wear a 16 1/2 - 34 dress shirt and was pleased with the fit of this shirt. Also found the shirt washes well with minimum ironing required.

"I ordered a size large shirt because that's the size I wear in most brands. However, the large in your product is much too big. I'll have to return the shirt for a medium.
