We've reinforced the heel and toe to create a sock twice as durable as any others. Vermont made from fine, supple cotton, along with nylon and Lycra® for strength, durability, and resiliency. 1x1 rib knit eliminates bunching and ensures long life. Durable cotton socks in light gray, navy, olive, black. Three pairs per pack, same color. Cotton/nylon/Lycra. Washable. Made in USA. Fits shoe sizes: M(8-9½), L(10-11½), XL(12-13½).

"These socks are certainly high quality but I am disappointed for two reasons. First, they are advertised as mid-calf but they are more what you would call crew. I ordered them to wear with boots and needed them to come up higher. Second, the elastic does not do a good job of holding them up, they slip down as you walk"

"I wear a size 12 or 13 shoe depending on the manufacture of the shoe. I found that the XL size runs small and was to tight of a fit and very hard to put on."

"These are great socks, very comfortable and from previous experience I know that they wear incredibly well, however I have always found them to be a bit short in the leg, another 4-6 inches would for me make all the difference"

"These are very good cotton socks. They are not crew socks or boot socks. They are constructed similar to the Invincible wool socks but maybe thinner. The bottom has a nice cushion. I will buy mor."

"The fit from the heel to the top of the foot is extremely tight. This is the case whether it is a large or x-large or xx-large. I have tried the wool and the cotton and neither work. Also, once you wash the socks, it becomes even tighter and you end up with swollen ankles because the circulation is cut off. Don't have this problem with any other brand."

"These sox were an impulse buy, but have proven better than those from a Texas based shoe manufacturer. The Orvis sox in cotton are soft, comfortable, and cool even in the Texas summer. The only change I would like is reinforced soles for cushion, but I am buying additional pairs at this time. A good buy."

"My husband has been looking for XL cushioned foot cotton socks for several years since the ones he liked were discontinued. These fit perfect, wash well, and are very comfortable. He has three colors, but would like to see them in brown and a darker gray also."

"With size 12.5-13 feet - normal cotton socks shrink to become uncomfortable quickly - and other XL socks I've tried fall down or bunch at the toe -
Love these socks - although not as tall as the photo suggests - they stay up and maintain their shape in the shoe - Just great!

"Very nice socks, but as others have mentioned, they are a bit tight. Purchased XL (12-13.5) based on other reviews. My legs/feet are small and I wear a size 10.5 or 11 shoe. The size XL are very snug after about 6 washes. If there is much more shrinkage they won't be wearable. Will see how they do long term. Definitely recommend buying a size up if possible. Be careful if you have large feet/legs."

"These sox shrink over 1/2 an inch in hight. So you have long lasting short sox that leave a lot of skin between your pants and sox when you cross your legs."
