This is a caddis pupae fly, but it is different genus from the caddis that builds its case and then has to break free of the shuck. These are free-living caddis pupae that live in fast cold water, are big and fat, and are strong swimmers in the riffles. Fish this fly in good, cold, fast water and swing it up through the current. As with all Oliver Edwards patterns, the realism of this caddis pupae fly is not to be denied. Color, Green.Sizes: 12, 14, 16.

"The quality of this fly as provided by Orvis is excellent and attention to detail is evident. Actual nymph fly is very close to the catalog picture. Cannnot wait to get out there and try these on trout in PA."

"Caught five nice rainbows and two brown trout, and missed six more. This was in a hard fished spring creek. If I had one fly this would be it."
